The Canadian Association for Equality (CAFE), is a non-profit organization that focuses on men’s issues including the status, health and well being of boys and men in an effort to achieve equality for all Canadians.
The organization also strives to bring attention to investment and support for educational and social programs for men and boys.
Yesterday, a screening of The Red Pill sponsored by CAFE and that I was scheduled to MC, was cancelled after public backlash erupted over an email with the subject line “Feminism is cancer.”
The film, considered by some to be contentious, follows a feminist’s journey documenting the men’s rights movement. It has been cancelled in theatres in Melbourne, Australia and also in Ottawa, Canada – that one was fortunately rescheduled.
Watch as I interview Monique Dietvorst who explains what CAFE is all about.
As a result of the publicity, the charity requires a larger venue for their rescheduled event.
I’ll continue to update you on the details as they unfold.
