SNC-Lavalin scandal jeopardizes Bill Morneau's feminist street cred

Canadian Finance Minister Bill Morneau’s feminist street cred is on the line. If you didn’t know, Morneau is a "Gender Champion”.

Yeah, it’s as cringy as it sounds. Last year, Morneau instructed his staff to set him up for a UN award to show how feminist he is. Along with the made-up title, Morneau is no longer allowed to sit on unisex panels. It doesn’t matter what the situation is, if a woman isn’t present with Morneau, he can’t be a part of the event.

Second, he must fight for gender parity on boards. Funny, because right now his government is hemorrhaging women! They are leaving by the day. Not only two full-blown cabinet ministers, but rank-and-file Members of Parliament as well.

Since Morneau came to Calgary today, I figured I would ask him, does he think he still counts as a gender champ when his government is so anti-women?

It's becoming a trend lately for Calgary to erupt in anger when a Trudeau cabinet minister comes around, and it is not tough to see why. A pro-oilsands crowd of hundreds stood outside the hotel hosting Morneau’s luncheon. The protestors demonstrated, chanting “scrap the carbon tax”, “build the pipe”, and other messages of frustration regarding Bills C-48 and 69.

Hmmm? Time for another retreat to his French chateau wine cellar?

I don’t know how you got into that luncheon Keean, but I bet Morneau was cursing you under his breath. I don’t know who would consider Morneau a champion of anything. These master baiters aren’t fooling too many people these days.

Rachael Harder, the Member of Parliament for Lethbridge and Shadow Minister for the Status of Women, asks Bill Morneau, the Finance Minister if he will apologize for his demeaning comments to Lisa Rait. Is every woman that disagrees with Morneau a neanderthal?

“…does he think he still counts as a gender champ when his government is so anti-women?”

But that’s a silly question. And by asking it, you give credence to the brand of faux feminism that turdo & Co. promote.

Better to use honesty: JW-R wasn’t demoted because she’s a woman, but rather, because she wouldn’t do what turdo wanted her to do: engage in corrupt practices. And the same thing would have happened if JW-R had been a man.

It’s along the same lines as insisting on apologies for being offended, or demanding that things be taken to the HRC Star Chambers. If you go down that road, you’re inadvertently supporting the very same statist and politically correct shit that you despise.
