The mayor of West Hollywood — the LGBT hub for the state of California — is honoring porn star Stormy Daniels. On Wednesday, he awarded her with a key to the city. He even designated it "Stormy Daniels Day." (WATCH video coverage here.)
Stormy Daniels has been embroiled in back-and-forth hearsay with the President over an alleged, consensual relationship years before Trump’s campaign for president. Many liberals consider her a hero of the left.
Well, I decided to check out this event, and joined a group of Trump-supporting friends for the outing in West Hollywood.
During Stormy Daniels’ acceptance speech, the porn star referred to the history of West Hollywood, saying, "the community of West Hollywood was founded more than three decades ago on the principle that everyone should be treated with dignity and fairness and decency."
That's a great founding principle. However, it clearly doesn't extend to "everyone," as my Trump-supporting friends and myself were treated with anything but dignity, fairness and decency.
A group of about ten of us were screamed at, berated and told to "Go the f*** home!" We were called Nazis and Westboro Baptist wannabes. Our two Hispanic friends were called "brown people." And I was asked if I was a "tranny." The man who said this to me clearly meant it as an insult, despite being part of the LGBT community himself – how sad.
As we see time and time again, the groups who scream the loudest about acceptance and tolerance and #LoveTrumpsHate are the most exclusive and hateful.
And they’re the groups who want to silence the other opinion rather than treating everyone with “dignity, fairness and decency.”
