Socialism shrinks Alberta economy

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

New StatsCan provincial GDP numbers are out and, of course, Alberta's economy contracted by 3.8 per cent in 2016, which is astonishing because it’s even worse than 2015's 3.7 per cent shrinkage.

The last time GDP fell for two consecutive years in Alberta was in 1982 and 1983.

The NDP are so ridiculously inept at running Alberta they have recreated the results of Pierre Trudeau’s National Energy Program of 1982 and 1983. Imagine being that awful and still thinking you're doing a good job.

You've just imagined Rachel Notley.

These numbers are bad but actually it’s even worse when you put the NDP’s failure to manage the economy in context with our neighbours.

Watch my video to see how Alberta stacks up with BC and Saskatchewan. You know it’s not good.

You can’t grow the economy from the heart outward and you can’t grow the economy by taxing it to death and spending yourself into the poor house.

But that doesn't mean the NDP will correct their destructive course.

Expect more of the same. Every socialist thinks the time they try socialism is the time they'll get it right.

If you put a big X over the LEY in Notley you have a NOT NDP lawn sign paid for by all her union hacks and thugs.

Just wait until it finally sinks in that, those who voted for these commies will be paying for it for life.

Yet, young fools will argue until blue in the face that Ndp are going to somehow, this time, be the answer to their existence. How to break through without choking the living crap out of them is the puzzle for me.

The NDP have ruined every province they’ve ever run. A perfect track record. People have to understand that their purpose has nothing to do with growing economies and making life better for regular folks. It’s an evil ideological and indoctrinalizational cult and as such should have its’ political party status revoked. The only benefactors are the union members of the ever expanding government itself.

The big difference between 1982/1983 and now is that Papa Doc was an Alberta hater from Quebec. Notley is an Alberta hater from Alberta.

I am also glad that you pointed out that the increased funding into the three big money sewers is not being applied to the ground level, but to the bureaucratic level instead. Hence no service improvement.

The union goons keep telling the sheep to vote for the dippers.

This is both a provincial and a federal attack on AB, and Canada. These commies feed off their envy of those who work hard and pay half their income in taxes. But that’s not enough, they want to destroy you and your families ability to live.
commented 2017-05-01 18:52:28 -0400
Sorry Sheila, but the NDP has reached for Alberta what their goal was for 2016.

Traffic in Calgary alone, is down around 30%, since the commies were elected. I think this reflects our true unemployment rate. There were many contractors in Calgary that made up the work force.

Public sector union economies, are negative economies , the tax payer funded bank allways runs out of money, have to keep raising taxes and user fees

Bill said, "If you want to see a system of government kill a golden egg-laying goose – One word: Venezuela "

And coincidentally that is Notley’s favorite country. Hmmmmm… I wonder if she is trying to model Alberta after Venezuela.

Pictures of Notley make other things shrink as well.

The NDP version of socialism not only shrinks the Alberta economy, but destroys it altogether.

The 200,000+ Alberta job losses does not even account for tens of thousands of single owner corporations (self-employed) who have lost their contracts with the various oil companies and oil industry support companies.

In 2019 when the election is due, Alberta will be burned to the ground … economically speaking, of course.

Heavy on the socialist utopian narratives, light on practical understanding of economics – they believe in the money forest where the “rich people” 9ym) keep the money trees – all you have to do is kill the rich people, and steal their money trees and harvest the endless supply of moolah …… and hell, if a commie has oil he has money right?

She will harm our economy for decades to come. Just like her evil twin sister in ON has done. I can’t believe that people vote for these destroyers!

NDP excels at destroying economies; employment; household incomes; industry; everything they can get their hands on. This party leaves a huge mess for others to sort out!
commented 2017-05-01 17:44:26 -0400
If these warmed over commies would just keep it at legitimate need socialism there would not be many problems , but they have to get power mad and full of themselves and take everything for any reason they make up in their minds. And once again i must remind them and their supporters that there is a finite amount of taxes to take, especially when you limit them by harming the economy and killing jobs. People cannot pay 110% of what they make just because you demand it.

Harley Mcartney you forgot people being happy to get a mortgage under 20%. Those were horrible days and this time there may be no coming back. In some ways i hope she breaks Alberta so we can’t send payments east.
