How socialists use public education to erase Christianity

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

On last week's episode of The Gunn Show, journalist Alex Newman of the New American Magazine joined me to discuss the socialist roots of public education in America and how it's being used to erase Christianity.

John Dewey, regarded as the father of American public education, was open about his far-left political views and his intention to use public schools to replace Christianity with Humanism.

WATCH my interview with Alex to see how this parallels with Rachel Notley's crackdown on Christian schools in Alberta.

Andrew Stephenson exactly when are Christian Prayers played? And explain the Mosque in Ontario schools , that is forced religion. "

Are kids forced to attend? (the Lord’s Prayer was played on the PA, just after O Canada)

If that is what you think Christianity is all about, then no wonder you don’t like it. You are obviously believing the wrong thing about Christianity. "

Please elaborate. What did I get wrong?

“Oh, and as soon as certain percentage of the population is Muslim you WILL be praying their prayers or losing your head over it. "

I see no reason to buy into the “slippery slope” hyperbole. Canada is not in any imminent danger of becoming a Muslim majority nation – the fastest growing group has long been, and remains, irreligious people.

Boys are Boys and Girls are Girls, that is REALITY and always has been and always will be REALITY! "

I wonder how a kid believing that is going to handle his gender-fluid coworker.

Andrew said, “Further, I don’t need Jesus to tell me to be a decent person, or threaten to send me to hell if I don’t.”

I guess thew FACT many people believe in God is not a reality to Andrew, but she is fine with us being FORCED to call someone by their MAKE BELIEVE IDENTITY as that is somehow grounded in reality LMAO!

Andrew Stephenson how is perverting kids facing a reality? GET BENT you hypocrite. Saying a prayer is hurting a kid in some way? If the kid does not believe then it is just words they are saying. And i was never forced to do so in Alberta.

ANDREW STEPHENSON
I don’t see Muslim prayers being played over the PA system every morning, with presumed participation by everyone.
________________________________________________________________________________
Good thing since this is typically what they pray for. It ain’t love your neighbour. Its rape your neighbour. Moral equivalence just isn’t going got work. And don’t bother with Old Testament references since you have no knowledge of it.

Oh, and as soon as certain percentage of the population is Muslim you WILL be praying their prayers or losing your head over it.

Der Spiegel:
‘In a Berlin mosque, a television crew secretly recorded the sermon of a Turkish imam who described the Germans as godless and railed against their alleged stench. In London, hate preacher Abu Hamza al-Masri called upon the faithful to murder female tourists in his native Egypt, saying: “If a woman, even a Muslim woman, is naked and you have no way of covering her up, it is legitimate to kill her.”’

Except for that Religion That Must Not Be Named. Some religions are ore equal than others. Andrew, I’m glad you got out before you were indoctrinated with concepts like, “Love your neighbour as yourself” or " Consider others as better than yourself". Or that very dastardly, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. "

“Love they neighbour” includes Muslims. There’s a real lack of that sort of love around here.

Andrew Stephenson if what you say is true then why is it fine for your parents to question the education system and not fine for other parents to pull their kids from teachings and indoctrination they do not want them exposed to when it comes to progressive BS?”

There’s a bit of a difference between forcing kids to say the Lord’s Prayer and acknowledging certain realities. You may disagree with the concept of gender fluidity (that seems to be what raises hackles more than anything else) but the reality is that kids will have to function in a world where it’s a thing.

Andrew Stephenson funny that i started school in the second half of the 70’s and never once was made to or asked to pray. And from grade 4 on i grew up in a small town 15 minutes from Edmonton, the only class i ever took involving religion was called World Politics and Religion , that class covered all of the major religions. "

I think it’s a division-level policy. Apparently some schools still do say the Lords Prayer in the morning even today There was a mild kerfuffle in Wetaskiwin in 2017 when they stopped. We also took comparative religions, I have no problem with that at all.

The government’s job is not to support religious special interests but be equivalent and agnostic to all.

Andrew Stephenson try and learn form this , many progressives support forms of tyranny against those they do not agree with without realizing that a future government may not agree with them and use the tyranny they cheered against them.

Is the state only to be obeyed and forced on kids when they share your view? I fully support your parents right to pull you in that case.

Robert Sloane….I understand where you are coming from but I also know that Christians are not one homogeneous group. In fact the diversity is so broad that calling it all one religion is not particularly accurate. Some don’t even believe in the ‘Christ’ of Christian. It is quite possible that, even within the dysfunctional atmosphere which you describe there was someone you knew followed Jesus. I fully agree with the value of your final statement and we who are Christians are called to those values. Where things go awry is when hatred comes the way of people who do these things in the name of Jesus and not because they have done anything wrong.

Be very wary of “Christianity”… I was raised in that world.. I know now, that many are false, and full of themselves.. I’m now dealing with that, with such “self proclaimed/self righteous” people… Oh yeah, they know everything.. They have even offered to “pray” for me… And I did nothing wrong… My Sister did, but she is apparently exempt from judgement.. Be good to others, and you will be fine…Treat others with respect. Help them whenever you can… You will be rewarded ten fold…

I still remember going to early elementary school in a public school in Alberta in the late-80s and they were still attempting to indoctrinate youth with reilgious prayers in the morning. Thankfully my parents got me out of it, but it’s ridiculous that the secular school system so strongly favoured one religion. I’m glad we moved to BC where such nonsense didn’t occur.
