Commentators of all political persuasions agreed that a recent exchange over immigration, between President Trump's Senior Advisor Stephen Miller and CNN's Jim Acosta, was incredible.
Acosta tried to make the argument that controls on immigration would be a departure from traditional American policy, but Miller countered with the fact that the United States has always gone through periods of high and low immigration.
After his first point failed, Acosta argued that requiring immigrant applicants speak English would limit immigration to Britain and Australia. Miller points out how incredibly ignorant this point is, and how it reveals Acosta's cosmopolitan bias.
Approximately 1.5 billion people around the world speak English, with 150 million in India alone!
