Steve Bannon's Career Is Over (But There's More To This Story)

John CardilloRebel Host | Off The Cuff

I separate fact from fiction in the war of words between former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon and President Donald Trump, and give you my analysis of what else, and who else, is at play here.

Pray tell Hohimer – what has “thinkprogress.org” got to do with “Fox News Research”?
commented 2018-01-05 15:08:54 -0500
The only reason why The Rebel is covering Canada less and less is because they can’t get any traction here.

No one here wants to work for them anymore, hence the lack of Canadian replacements for Brian Lilly, Jay Fayza, Lauren Southern, etc. The Conservative party wants NOTHING to do with The Rebel, so they lost support there as well.

So Ezra is essentially turning The Rebel into a UK tabloid.

Ron, the other comments Iain throws out there a fair bit is, “Ezra should step down” and other versions of the same thing. He also doesn’t like Rebel reports concerning Israel or Anti-Semitism.

Wanda Orion—If Iain doesn’t return to answer you, I have seen him comment that he wants more Canada, not the EU ect..
I disagree, as Canada is boring; the US EU is where the big news is, not PEI.
Also it is interesting to be kept informed in how fast the UK (once the world’s leader) is sinking into oblivion each and every day.

Iain, I’m interested in what you think The Rebel could do to be more effective?
commented 2018-01-05 00:22:23 -0500
I would go after Ben Shapiro to tell us what’s with Bannon as he has nothing to lose now by telling us about what’s really going on…

What’s the big deal, this is how Trump operates. When you have finished your job you are “let go” until you are needed again.
Omarosa has been with him for 20 years, she left before Christmas; watch her come back before the coming elections. Trump needs her to attract the Working Black Vote.
Now that General Mattis is getting cleared of any important crime, he may come back.
Bannon may have crossed the line, saying the daughter is as dumb as a brick. I’ve seen her on TV a few times and never remember her saying anything too intelligent, however I think she will get by when you consider her other strengths.

Just watched Dr. Sebatian Gorka and Dr. Walid Phares interviewed on The World Over. Dr. Gorka was one of the few who had the common sense to refuse to be interviewed by Wolff, because Gorka suspected Wolff’s agenda. Wolff had also targeted Tony Blair who rejected Wolff’s claims.
Wolff is political hack and Steve Bannon should have known better.
If he did it for vengeance, it may just be a boomerang.
I unsubscribed immediately to Breitbart when I heard this news today.

Ron Voss, Iain Foulds hasn’t answered me when I asked him in various threads. Let’s see if he answers you.

IAIN FOULDS commented, “Rebel is not fulfilling that role )a strong conservative media) in Canada? Are you a paid subscriber?

Liza, with respect to “Where does that leave Breitbart?”, according to Ben Shapiro (link below), in his so-called ‘tell-all’ to Wolff, Bannon, as chairman of Breitbart News, also torpedoed Breitbart, saying, “….information should have been dumped down to Breitbart or some more legitimate publication.”.

John great to get the inside scoop on this story.
Shocked by such indiscretion by Bannon to make such comments to a far left journalist. That image of Bannon being the brilliant strategist that helped deliver the Trump win was just smoke and mirrors. According to Ben Shapiro, his “old boss” Steve Bannon “apparently has lost whatever was left of his marbles”, is an “irrelevant lord of nothing” who “just blew himself up with the people that made him famous”:
As the saying goes, ‘with friends like that who needs enemies’.
Trump threatens to sue Bannon over Wolff book

Bannon does sound as if he has lost his mind,
“The president of the United States is a great man,” Bannon said Wednesday night on Breitbart’s SiriusXM radio program. “You know I support him day in and day out.” On his Thursday morning radio show, he added: “Nothing will ever come between us and President Trump and his agenda. We’re as tight on this agenda as we’ve ever been.”

I don’t think everyone is going to feel the same about his radio show anymore and I can’t see how this won’t affect Breitbart.

…good point Keith.

The dems really took Flynn out. Trump should exonerate him. Trump was strong armed.
Preibus was a leaker and not really a republican at all and needed to be thrown out, it looks like Bannon the same. For the life of me I don’t know why he hired Priebus in the first place.
The Donald has been hiring and firing from the beginning of time, it is how he rolls, not sure how effective it has been so far for the White House though.
Cutting some slack, he has been fighting against the attacks from his own side as well as the dems. McCain, and many others seem determined to take him out. McCain probably won’t be a problem much longer, but there are more where he came from.
Hobbled with one arm tied behind his back he has still accomplished more than Obama did in eight years.

Clinton gold is very good at changing peoples minds and turning them around.

… Liza: Brietbart is alive and well. The loss of Bannon means nothing. There is massive support for Trump, and thus a strong conservative media in the States.
… Rebel is not fulfilling that role in Canada.

If true, I’m very disappointed and all of this is really not good for conservatives and the Trumps. What Trump may not realize, is that he is burning all of his popular supporters one after the other. After Flynn, Priebus that he praised on election night, and now Bannon, (I’m sure I’m forgetting a few others), who will work with him at the next election? It’s obvious to me that he has very poor judgment of people, or he cannot control his ego, or probably both. At the end of the day, it shows that the government and its minions are beyond salvation.

Ayeyieyie. I used to have respect for Bannon also. Where does that leave Breitbart?
Not a very good look.
commented 2018-01-04 15:13:10 -0500
Bannon really stepped in it! I would agree with Donald Jr when he said Bannon is opportunistic.
commented 2018-01-04 15:12:44 -0500
I was also a Bannon fan. I really thought that the man had President Trump’s back. I thought that Bannon was a strong character that was good for America and for Mr. Trumps presidency.
Oh well, it just goes to show how corrupt politics are and how corrupt politicians can be.
Having said all that, I await further news and confirmation that Bannon was and is a turncoat.
commented 2018-01-04 14:43:30 -0500
… I was a big Bannon fan until I read in his recent book that he considered Ayn Rand to be dangerous. Lost my interest right away.
… Just odd that he would throw himself under the bus for no reason at all. Oh well, life goes on. Not his political life of course.
