March 22, 2017 - Brian Lilley gives an update on Liberals restoring funding to UNRWA and their desperate efforts to rush money out the door to this UN group before Canadians realized what was happening.
November 17, 2016 - Brian Lilley reports that the Liberals have announced that they'll be restoring funding to UNRWA, an agency with known links to banned terrorist group Hamas.
July 5, 2016 - Brian Lilley reveals the shocking results of an ATIP which expose the Liberal's intentions to support UNRWA.
UNRWA, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency is a UN body created in 1948 to deal with Palestinian refugees.
UNRWA may have done good work in the past, but over the past decades they have unfortunately become very close to, and some even say controlled by, the Islamist Palestinian terrorist group Hamas.
Hamas is the fascist Islamist terrorist organization that rules Gaza. They are the Palestinian version of ISIS.
In 2010, Stephen Harper and the Conservatives stopped funding UNRWA and directed Canada's aid money elsewhere.
The Conservatives didn't stop funding projects in Gaza or the West Bank -- they funded other projects that were not linked to Hamas, projects that actually helped Palestinians.
But now the Liberals are about to send $15 million to UNRWA, much of which could benefit Hamas and their terror activities. In fact, it was that concern that saw UNRWA cut off from their Canadian funding in the first place.
In the 2012-2013 fiscal year CIDA, our foreign aid department, spent $26.7 million in the West Bank and Gaza. They just didn't give any to UNRWA, because UNRWA has been tied to the Hamas terrorist group.
Trudeau wants you to think the Harper Conservatives were cold hearted and mean, that they only cared about Israel and about the Jews. But that is simply not true. Harper sided with Israel against terrorism, but still funded real development projects to help Palestinians. Now, under Justin Trudeau, we are looking at re-funding a group linked to Hamas.
UNRWA doesn't run the refugee camps in places like Gaza, but they do run the hospitals, the schools and more. Yet UNRWA has consistently used the hospitals and schools they run to hide Hamas's rockets and bombs. You can read all about that by clicking here, but here are the highlights:
August 2, 2014: 11 mortar shells were fired by terrorists from the vicinity of an UNRWA school in the Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza and UNRWA facilities (clinic and distribution center) in Jebalya.
August 1, 2014: IDF documented a rocket launcher pad in the vicinity of al-Mahtal Hotel in the al-Shati refugee camp. The UN sign is clearly seen on the buildings’ roof.
July 30, 2014: IDF forces uncovered an attack tunnel reportedly dug from inside an UNRWA health clinic in the area of al-Farahin in east Khan Younis. During IDF searches Hamas operatives detonated 12 explosive charges planted inside the building, killing 3 Israeli soldiers.
July 25, 2014: Palestinian terrorists fired mortar shells and anti tank rockets from the vicinity of an UNRWA school and from inside it, causing the death of an Israeli soldier.
July 24, 2014: The IDF Spokesperson reported on that “in recent days” Hamas launched rockets from the area of Beit Hanoun where an UNRWA shelter is located.
These are all documented. This is fact. And now the fact is Canada is about to start funding this group that is far too close, far too cozy with Hamas.
If Trudeau and the Liberals want to send more foreign aid dollars to help the Palestinians they can do that without risking that money aiding and abetting Hamas. Trudeau could fund other UN agencies even or other NGOs on the ground. But not UNRWA.
If you think Trudeau shouldn't use your tax dollars to fund UNRWA, then please sign our petition to Trudeau by clicking below.
Justin Trudeau must not use taxpayer dollar to fund UNRWA or any organization that has been linked to Hamas.
