(WATCH) Street preacher David Lynn's court appearance

Rebel Staff

This video from Christ's Forgiveness Ministries shows Pastor David Lynn outside of his court appearance after being arrested for disturbing the peace by preaching the Gospel in Toronto's gay village.

Our own David Menzies has been following this case, and Lynn told Menzies that we must all exercise free speech before it's too late.

I am going to walk back something I said before….I thought…leave them alone in the place they call sanctuary….

But they did not leave Christians alone in their place of sanctuary….in fact it was the obligation to take the gay sacriment that made me leave the church that was my sanctuary….

There is no sanctuary…there is no “safe space”….there is no “no go” zone….there is no Canada that is the campus of a university writ large….complete with speech code (and no smoking policy)….there is only ….

God be praised.

“Where do pastors preach…usually?…(in a church)…So why is a pastor…being restricted from preaching on Church Street?”

I am not blaming the Gays in this case as many of them were fine with him freely speaking and asked the police to let him be.

When Sharia patrols start beating up gays they will get away with it.

The powers that be can lick my s&ck. Speak freely everyone.

What lovely, lively Christians. Terrible singers, though. Not that it matters. We could all stand to get a lot more public about our faith, a lot more often.

They are the ones full of hate.

Indeed that seems to be the case Rebelation.
The left and Islamists demand tolerance and have none themselves. Both groups don’t just want to be recognised and treated with respect, they want to bully the rest of us and dominate and would eradicate us if they could.

What did you expect? The politics in this country are not complicated. All western democracies were created by White, right wing Christians. If you want to turn those countries into communist one’s, you need to bash the White males – and Christians in particular. That’s why they always do the opposite of Christians. That’s why they attack white males and Christians and administer a double standard. That’s it that’s all.

If I remember correctly wasn’t this mostly about the fact that he went to a part of town that the LGBTQ community had infiltrated and claimed as their own no go zone? What gave them that right anyway? It must be a no go zone if no Christians are allowed. I don’t know exactly what he supposedly said to some offended gay person, but I suspect it was something like ‘God loves you and forgives you’, or ’I’m praying for you.‘,’love the sinner not the sin.’ Not anything hateful towards any of them. So they called the cops on him and had him arrested. Now that’s pretty hateful on the part of the LGBTQ community if you ask me.

So let me get this straight. Everyone gets to be offended but not the Christian. Everyone gets to express themselves but not the Christian. Everyone gets to exercise their right to peaceful assembly but not the Christian. You don’t have to agree with the way Pastor Lynn conducts his service or in Christianity, but to get him arrested is about as unjust and hateful as it gets.

The Rebel needs to do a funding effort to help with his legal expenses. That would be the
“standing on guard” that they sang.

No wonder he was arrested. I’ve never seen such a pack of hateful white supremacists.

What happened to the Sunny Was"?

“2. Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms:

freedom of conscience and religion;
freedom of thought, belief, opinion and EXPRESSION, including freedom of the press and OTHER MEDIA OF COMMUNICATION;
freedom of association."

“These freedoms are set out in the Charter to ensure that Canadians are free to create and express their ideas, gather to discuss them and communicate them widely to other people. These activities are basic forms of individual liberty.”

All of this is true unless the 5Ps don’t like your particular brand of it.

Canada was founded on Christian values. Why would anyone expect to never hear about it or see it respected and celebrated here?
Because the Termites in the Shape of Men have been chewing at our societal foundations for decades. For the most part they want the building but they despise the foundation it was built on. Somehow they expect the building to stand sans the foundation.

Canada was founded on Christian values. Why would anyone expect to never hear about it or see it respected and celebrated here?
What I don’t expect is for Christianity to have to hide in the closet, be insulted and have their churches vandalized and leaders arrested, in a western country. What I don’t expect, is to hear the call to prayer in any Canadian city, or see Islam take precedence in a Christian country. In stifling the main religion of our forefathers we are allowing another to begin to dominate, and that is a threat to our western culture. Islam has never passed up an opportunity to fill a void. It is more important now than ever to respect our Christian roots. Worship what ever religion you chose, but know that Canada has always been a Christian country, and we are not about to let that go easily, regardless of what the current political globalist accommodation of others is trying to dictate to us. Christianity must continue to dominate in a western, Christian founded and based country, specifically Canada. Its our heritage and our right, regardless of how multicultural we have allowed our country to become.

Others are welcome but the religion of the country in which you become a part of, must be respected, not necessarily followed, but respected. That is universal. Around the world, that is understood. Wars are fought over it.

Note: in at least some predominantly Islamic countries if you don’t convert they kill you, so you don’t only respect their religion, you adopt it. No forced conversions in Christianity. The only prerequisite is respect.

Pastor Lynn should not have been arrested. Not in a Christian country.
