Student gov: “Please, please, please protest” against this campus carry bill

Rob ShimshockRebel Contributor

Concord University students received an email from their student government declaring an all-caps EMERGENCY and a trip to the state capital to plead with lawmakers in an effort to put a stop to a House bill that would declare support for campus self defense.

Andrew Stephenson i think the murdering scum in NZ should be tortured and shot and urinated on and the Muslim who stopped the other attack is a Hero. I do not care what his color is. And why is it you and the media jump on his manifesto(which i think is just bunk to spread anarchy) while a terrorist shouting Allahu Ackbar somehow has a mysterious motivation? Quite the Paradox.

Andrew Stephenson your bigotry is showing again. And the US and Canada and Europe seem to have problems when they let in Non-White Nationalists.

Andrew Stephenson and what if you were? That is the question. I have no need of abortion but for some reason others can have one and i have to accept that.

“And bad guys may carry other things like knives bats steel baton’s and so on, all of which are considered weapons… "

You can’t climb a clock tower and baton an entire crowd from a safe distance. Mass-batonings are unheard of. Mass stabbings nearly so.

“North Dakota has their constitutional carry law. No permit is require for concealed carry as long as there is no court order prohibiting it. Their murder rate is 1.3/100,000. Manitobas is 3.5. Minnesota has 270,000 concealed carry permits, Their murder rate is 2.3/100,000. Manitoba’s is 3.5. "

Manitoba’s problem is a combination of meth and gangs – not that civilians aren’t packing heat. Our native population is a lot like the African-American one, a group with a lot of problems not entirely of their own doing. The average person who stays out of hte North End or that bus shelter at Portage Place is probably fine other than the occasional car-rummaging. ND is almost entirely rural and lacks the corresponding ghettos that drive crime in the US.

Switzerland does not allow its citizens to carry guns around. They’re kept safely stored at home, under the presumption that if a militia is required, most people will have time to get home and retrieve them.

New Zealand’s error appears to have been letting white nationalists in.

Andrew Stephenson please tell me exactly how you stop someone with a gun out to kill you?”
I rarely find myself being murdered, gun or otherwise.

Problem; too many guns
Solution: More guns, apparently.

Once again you keep parroting the same BS even when it has been disproven.

North Dakota has their constitutional carry law.

Switzerland requires every household to have the dreaded assault rifle. Low murder rate. New Zealand has very strict gun laws. How is that working out for them? They also allow leftists. Bad move. Obviously we should ban leftists, not guns.

Problem-TOO MANY ABORTIONS because of lack of personal responsibility.
Solution-MORE ABORTIONS and no reasonable restrictions apparently.

Andrew Stephenson that is not the problem.

I knew a law-abiding citizen, responsible family man, all-around “good-guy”. Just once—once—he took out his rifle and shot dead an OPP officer who had pulled him over for speeding (this was near Windsor a few years ago).

One infraction and the man’s life is ruined. Meanwhile, all these “bad-guys” carry on as though they own the world.
