(UPDATE: See our new goal!) Help support Professor Jordan Peterson's Research

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

*UPDATE: Year One fundraising achieved in under 24 hours! Thank you!

Now let's try and raise the additional $82,325 funding for Year Two.

Professor Peterson's research project is a five-year project; and in one single day, we have crowdfunded the first year’s expenses. But let’s keep the momentum going. We're already on our way!

CLICK HERE to be part of this crowdfunding campaign, learn about the perks for donating and more.

Professor Jordan Peterson at the University of Toronto — the professor who has been fighting so valiantly for free speech and academic freedom, and against political correctness — he has had his scholarly funding cut off. His grant application to continue his academic research was rejected, for the first time in his career.

So we're going to raise his research funding for him!

This research money isn’t his salary. It’s the budget he needs to do his work — to hire graduate students, and other out of pocket expenses to pursue his scholarship.

That’s what’s been rejected. They’ve cut off his studies. Which just happen to include studying the psychology of political correctness.

But we don’t need to depend on the government and their anonymous bureaucrats.

Please help us crowdfund Professor Peterson's research:

Thank you for your generosity!

PS: Here is a copy of the full funding application Professor Peterson submitted to the government, that was nixed.

Maybe Andrew, you could put that 550++ intellect of yours and your 27 masters degrees to work and post a link to the laws that prove it is illegal for lobbyists to fund academic research and while you are at it prove that The Rebel are lobbyists. Otherwise your comment is all about spewing crap and has no more substance than crap.

Pretty sure it’s illegal for lobbyists to fund academic research (falls into the category of “competing interest”)… has anybody checked whether U of T will even let him take the cash? Research with any hint of being agenda driven is also nearly impossible to publish in any sort of actual journal, and lack of publications is career suicide for the grad students.

Thank God, It is now articulated. Not to be aired on MSM.

George without the frontal Lobe,
It was made very clear in this interview that this affects his grad students and not him personally.
Where do you thick sculled, neanderthal wing nuts come from ? GTA I’m guessing.

Now that is impressive.

Agreed Deborah.

As of seconds ago, $80 040 raised so far with a month to go. Two to three years funding can be accomplished at this rate.

However, to be a sad little cloud on the horizon, I wonder if the next boycott by socialist academia will be to refuse publication of his research through the anonymous referee committees. Same as happened against true climatologists scientifically questioning AGW with scientific fact.

Liza Rosie – which is exactly why the left are trying to shut him down. God bless Professor Peterson, and may those who believe in his goals, and the truth in the research that he is doing, contribute to his fund.

Jordan Peterson is brilliant there is no doubt about it. His contributions to healthy minds and lives make him a Canadian treasure.

I was really impressed with the funding application and the discription of Dr Peterson’s past research and accomplishments like reducing the dropout rate for students and designing tools to improve goal setting and life skills. Check out his website www.selfauthoring.com. It is reprehensible and draconian that this valuable research was not approved. Please contribute what you feel comfortable with.

Good idea, i see another sudden new troll trying to deflect form the truth.

" If this experiment is successful, it opens the door for other academics denied academic grants on political grounds, as Dr. Peterson points out. Then the monopoly on academic funding is broken, imagine real science being funded and not just socialist science. "
Canadian Mongrel exactly. What a refreshing thought.

Ezra it would help if there was an address to which we could send a cheque. Not everyone does business over the internet.

Contributing directly to Dr. Peterson seems like a better investment in academic freedom than contributing to alumni associations, so I am in. If this experiment is successful, it opens the door for other academics denied academic grants on political grounds, as Dr. Peterson points out. Then the monopoly on academic funding is broken, imagine real science being funded and not just socialist science.

Also, I am forced to fund his high school classmate, Notley, through taxes; so at least I can fund someone worthwhile from the Peace.

quick question: are we able to get a receipt for income tax discount?
commented 2017-04-06 19:36:15 -0400
Smart move by Peterson to frame the rejection of his grant application as a reaction to his political position. He obviously didn’t mention that the success rate for the type of grant he applied for (SSHRC) was about 25% on average; i.e. every year 75% of professors who apply for these grants are rejected.
