Tanya Granic Allen: "We have to beat Kathleen Wynne"

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On Friday's show, Ontario PC Party leadership candidate Tanya Granic Allen joined me to discuss her campaign, issues facing the province, and how she plans to beat Kathleen Wynne.

Tanya's opposition to Wynne's radical sex-ed curriculum is well known and is one component of a leadership campaign advocating for solutions supported by the grassroots of the PC party.

Wynne's drastic increase of Ontario's minimum wage and the skyrocketing cost of energy are slamming working families and driving-up job losses. Tanya would hold-off on the next planned wage increase, and tear wind turbines out of the ground.

WATCH my interview with Tanya to see how she plans on to take on the Liberal campaign war machine.

Yes, you are right – Ford is a BIG meathead.
commented 2018-03-06 13:45:21 -0500
It’s a race between Ford and Elliott. No one else.
commented 2018-03-06 08:13:37 -0500
Ford is a meathead. He had two weeks to brush up his responses since the previous debate and his answers were no better this time round. Still, if I was voting PC, I’d pick him over Elliot or Mulroney.

O’Leary was trying to be shades of Trump, but was a joke in fact, and it was blatantly obvious. Mulroney and Elliot are repylsive on so many levels; liberal-lite, silver spoon, best buddies with the Truduea’s, the optics of working under the Wynne govt. Allen will do a heck of a lot than anyone expects, Ford will take it. We need a bull in the proverbial China shop here in Ontario, it has moved far away from the Ontario I grew up in, it literally embarrasses me.

Jimmy bob said, “True, but someone mentioned Trump as if he could win here.”
No, they only commented that everyone said Trump would not win and then he did, meaning many people hold their cards close to their chest and you just may get a surprise come election day.
commented 2018-03-06 02:54:11 -0500
Another thing you are right about Bob Jimmy is it is a two man race. Just not the two people you think. People are tired of liberal progressives, Red Tories, liberal lites or CINO’s masquerading as conservatives.
commented 2018-03-06 02:50:17 -0500
True, but someone mentioned Trump as if he could win here – so I had to remind them that someone in Canada already tried to being Trump to Canada and ended up in last place.

Tanya is going to be a failed candidate as well.
commented 2018-03-06 02:31:00 -0500
Bob, vinny duh sylva, this thread is about Tanya Granic Allen, not a failed candidate for the federal conservatives.
commented 2018-03-06 01:36:51 -0500
Because it would be accurate per the candidates that were running. Even Leitch would mention Trump, since she thought that she could ride that wave, but she was wrong.

Australian columnist Rita Panahi, mincing words, called Trudeau the “Kim Kardashian” of political leaders, an all-style, no-substance bimbo with all the depth of a puddle

Bob Rock those are opinions by the people who write the articles. Now how about some Times of India articles about Justin LMAO! The Jar Jar Binks of Canada.

If you were paying attention Trump won….… Hands-down Trump won and Kellie Leitch is not Canada’s Trump.!! That is almost humourous you comparing Kellie Leitch to Donald Trump…
commented 2018-03-05 21:51:04 -0500
Fox News and most conservatives said Trump wouldn’t win either if you were paying attention. It’s funny that people who were polled, were actually embarrassed to admit that they were going to vote for Trump, because they wanted to avoid any kind of backlash.

Canada’s Trump – Kellie Leitch didn’t win and she played his rulebook.
commented 2018-03-05 21:44:22 -0500
Yeah… We hear that a lot from liberals and Democrats… They said Trump wouldn’t win there either. But look what happened. Trump won… imagine that.!!
commented 2018-03-05 21:23:03 -0500
Jan G,

Apparently you don’t know that you live in Canada and Trump wouldn’t win HERE. So many Canadians here wish Canada was America – it’s hilarious.

BOB ROCK commented, “I look forward to Ezra’s interviews with all the other candidates or explanation that they were not willing to be interviewed.” Good point. I give Tanya credit for her willingness to be interviewed by the Rebel.

Early on in the recent debate the candidates were asked, “Do you believe climate change is caused by human activity and if you do, what specifically do you plan to do to cut greenhouse gas emissions?”. Mulroney and Elliott clearly said yes to the first part of the question, Ford never answered but railed on how the carbon tax had caused an Ontario company to close its business in and move south and Granic Allen waffled with her answer, saying, “I do believe climate change exists; obviously new measurements and methods of research are coming across all the time that actually measure the amount of contribution that man does contribute to climate change so that is still being measured”, whatever that means. Disappointing that none of the four candidates called man-made climate change what it is a hoax and a scam.

I like what Doug Ford offers; no taxing under a certain annual income, rather than minimum wage.
commented 2018-03-05 18:48:49 -0500
and they said Donald Trump wouldn’t win???

Tanya is exactly what this province needs – honesty, determination and courage.
Now…………go out and vote for her.

You know, there’s another way to achieve the same result as ripping those wind turbines out of the ground, without the headaches and obstacles of time-consuming litigation: tax the shit out of them and use the revenues to provide relief for the ridiculous hydro rates, instead of kicking the hydro debt can down the road for our children and grand children to deal with.

Levy taxes on windmills and solar panels for the commercial enterprises they are. And do the same thing with the property taxes for the land they’re sitting on. Pay up, or shut down. Ether way the public wins.

But that would be too simple for the bone-headed PCs.
commented 2018-03-05 16:19:01 -0500
Farm Girl = Common Sense and Reality. Those Wind Turbines are killing birds and making Lieberal connected persons rich off ratepayers monies. That is their purpose, not providing electricity.
commented 2018-03-05 14:03:34 -0500
I look forward to Ezra’s interviews with all the other candidates or explanation that they were not willing to be interviewed.

Bob Rock/Vincent Cassini et al
I’m sure you realize interviewing a candidate doesn’t equal endorsing a candidate.
commented 2018-03-05 13:46:22 -0500
The people here are a very small demographic, so that’s not a good way to gauge things. People here like extreme candidates like Kellie Leitch, but the majority are not going to vote for her and didn’t.
commented 2018-03-05 12:55:55 -0500
Bob Rock—With this type of voting system, who knows what will happen. I still havn’t seen anyone here that said “they voted Scheer to be Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada.”
commented 2018-03-05 11:39:55 -0500
Ezra has to know that she is not going to win. This is a two person race.
