Tarantino is “a garbage human being” — but why the belated backlash against critics' darling?

Ben DaviesRebel Host | Rebel Reel Reviews

Accusations of abuse, sexual misconduct, and old interview quotes dug up form the past? Yep, it's another day in today's Hollywood for Quentin Tarantino!

The negative press that Quentin Tarantino has been getting lately is a departure from the esteem in which he's been held by critics since his debut with Reservoir Dogs in 1992, then his Oscar wins for Pulp Fiction.

However, a closer look at these news stories reveals how much their themes mirror those of Tarantino's strange movies...

Sorry a Christian joke.

James Crockett if a gay joke makes one a homophobe bigot then so does a Christina joke. Or do you make the rules as you see fit?
commented 2018-02-13 17:56:02 -0500
James Crockett i thought you loved jokes and berated us for being sensitive prudes? Hypocrite.
commented 2018-02-13 17:51:56 -0500
Tammie Putinski-Zandbelt,

Yes, yes you are in addition to being a bigot, homophobic and ignorant.

Got any more gay jokes?
commented 2018-02-13 17:46:54 -0500
Wow, how lame!

Tammie Putinski-Zandbelt,

You mean your imaginary husband.

Tammie Putinski-Zandbelt,

Let me know when the tables have been turned as opposed to you just trying to get your likeminded morons to rally around you.

Making a gay joke about glory holes, says more about you than it does me. If I was gay – who cares? You are just reinforcing my point about you that you are a bigot and homophobic.

Flat Earth Flat Water, my husband thought it was pretty funny too.

James under his various pseudonyms has posted Conservatives aren’t funny! What does he know!!!
commented 2018-02-13 17:24:09 -0500
Oh dear….poor James is one of those people who dishes out all kinds of stuff and can’t take it when the tables are turned. Pretty standard for beta males.

I think they make light weight crow bars James….ask the man at Home Depot to give you a tour of the tool section.
commented 2018-02-13 17:18:21 -0500
Tammie Putinski-Zandbelt,

I don’t think so – you are in the same boat as Jan. I can’t imagine any man that would want to put up with you, unless they are pussy whipped.

Flat earth. .Flat water,

Rank the Tarantino films in order of preference.

Yes, your life is focused on the Earth being flat and ignoring facts, logic and science. I am sure you are incredibly busy with that in addition to the constant time you spend in your safe space – your days must be completely booked.
commented 2018-02-13 17:14:05 -0500
Typo in last post. Sorry folks.

It should read – I suppose you could go back to your original club with a crow bar hidden in your coat and pry that board off…good luck!
commented 2018-02-13 17:11:14 -0500
You are the queen of assumptions James!

As always, you assumed wrong.

I supposed you could go back to your original club with a crow bar hidden in your coat and pry that board off….good luck!

Tammie Putinski-Zandbelt,

Yep – you are probably divorced.

Boarded up his “glory hole”…

Man…. I’m still laughing.!!!
commented 2018-02-13 17:00:59 -0500
Hahahahahahaha…. Tammy that’s funny.!!!!! Hahahahahahah

Seen em all skippy…. And they are WEIRD but that’s the shock value in his films.. I’m glad I have a life and don’t wait with baited breath for his next effort or anybody else’s for that matter..! They are entertaining but very dark.. But none of that detracts from the fact of you having zero for a vocabulary beyond profanity… limited IQ and just above the consciousness of a lower primate..
You also suffer periodic episodes of psychosis and would benefit from advanced anger management support.!!
Oh… One other thing before I go… the right amount money will certainly buy the acceptance of an apology from someone who enjoys money more than a moral environment..

Having a wife doesn’t mean much James, given the number of women who have been duped into marrying men who live alternative lifestyles, forgetting to mention this to the little lady at home.

I’m sure you will find another club.
commented 2018-02-13 16:53:15 -0500
Tammie Putinski-Zandbelt,

No, I have been happily married for 14 years to a wonderful woman.

What’s your excuse for your extreme bitterness. Did your husband leave you too like Jan’s?
commented 2018-02-13 16:34:59 -0500
James, did the manager at the club board up your glory hole?
commented 2018-02-13 16:31:56 -0500
Tammie Putinski-Zandbelt,

You do know Polanski’s victim defended Tarantino right? If she can give him support and accept his apology – then why should anyone give a fuck what you think about him?

I think her view is a universe of more worth that some useless dipshit like you on an extreme conservative blog.
commented 2018-02-13 16:16:30 -0500
Tarantino’s support of child rapist Roman Polanski and the excuses he gave on the Howard Stern show is really a glimpse into the mind of a sick man. Meryl Streep and all the other Hollywood shills who gave Polanski a standing ovation at the Oscars opened my eyes to how many people in this industry lack a conscience and value money more than anything else.

I’m certainly not going to give them any credit now for their shallow support of victims coming forward when in many cases, these Hollywood elites kept their mouths shut for decades. The well known secret they help to protect. They can carry all the white roses they want, dress in black and mourn over Twitter, they are greedy hypocrites!

Al Peterson,

It has everything to do with it. I don’t give a shit about your religion and how it pertains to movies, which ultimately turns into an agenda.

Ben Davies wasn’t hired by Ezra, because he’s some brilliant film journalist/critic like a Roger Ebert. In fact, he knows very little about movies per his posts so far on here, but he ONLY was hired so that he could shit on Hollywood and spew his religious agenda when it comes to movies.

I would prefer it if they hired someone who could actually talk intelligently about film. Keep your religion at home and at church – it’s not needed when talking about film. I don’t care what offends you as a Christian – I want to discuss film and your religious take is irrelevant.

Oh, and , James, the vague personal attacks? You call him Church boy. What does that have to do with anything. In logic that is a logical fallacy called an ad hominem attack. You don’t argue with his debate points you attack him. This is considered a refuge of those who only have a weak or no argument.

Most of your agruments are akin to this and you wonder why no one wants to meet you face to face and have a “debate”. You have no idea how a debate works. It is not like arguing with a drunk at a bar. It is actually a civil discussion with the point of convincing the other person of the validity of your position. It is not a foul-mouthed tirade and name calling of those who disagree with you.

Al Peterson,

Every single industry on the planet looks the other way sometimes.
commented 2018-02-13 15:48:07 -0500
The issue is the hypocrisy of Hollywood and their willingness to look the other way sometimes but not other times. You took offence to a side comment Ben made and blew it up into the major issue. It wasn’t.

Some strange movies are great. Some strange movies are garbage. Being strange shouldn’t be a ticket to an award.
commented 2018-02-13 12:44:28 -0500
Al Peterson,

What issue is that? Church boy said that Tarantino’s movies are “strange”, when in fact he has made incredible movies and he is one of the greatest directors in movie history. I addressed that point.

As for the rest – even Roman Polanski’s victim has come to Tarantino’s defense in addition to Uma Thurman and many others. Nonetheless, I can separate the art from the artist. I am not going to stop watching a great movie like The Usual Suspects, because Kevin Spacey is in it.

Do you understand the concept of separating the art from the artist?

Flat earth. .Flat water,

Thanks for all that dodging, which confirms that you haven’t seen any Tarantino films. It’s typical of extreme right conservatives to complain about movies and TV shows, that they haven’t even seen, so this was no surprise.

You think the Earth is flat.

commented 2018-02-13 11:12:23 -0500
Once again we see James Crockett does not address the issue at hand. He diverts it into one of his typical rants which is a vague personal insult against anyone who questions the hypocrisy and weirdness of the left wingers.

You will also notice that he specializes in cultural issues- abortion, movies and booze and anything where Christians are being oppressed.

MIKE KRCHNAK commented 2018-02-13 00:30:29 -0500
JImmy crock of shit….but here you are again, at The Rebel, telling others they cannot talk about movies while……wait for it……..you talk about movies.
Mike, what we see here is that mindset that is unique to the left. Only they can speak on any given subject because they hold all knowledge and moral uprightness. They hold the a priori position that their view is the only right view so debate only infuriates them.

See also the PM’s pronouncement about a trial he did not hear. He is a lefty so he already knows the truth a priori. This leftwing god complex is not unexpected. Once you deny the existence of God you become that god. i.e. you create a god in your own image.

But once again I see you are regressing to profanity… I felt I had to mention that before I left the thread.!
