I have five weeks left of college and I can’t wait to get out of there.
Now, college wasn't all bad for me. I met a lot of good friends and there were some profs that I really liked and that were really cool. But unless you’re going into STEM, college is a waste of time.
I've put together my 10 reasons colleges suck, and why being conservative in college sucks. (Well, not necessarily conservative — just anyone who is to the right of Stalin…)
For one thing, professors tell you that when you need to fact check something, you should go to CNN.
They get really triggered when you use "right wing" websites as sources. I tried to write an essay on gun control, and I was trying to be as unbiased as I could, so I looked at statistics and articles from both sides of the political spectrum. But when my prof saw Breitbart on my bibliography, he said,
“Breitbart? Yeesh, I don’t know..."
So I said, “Fine! I’ll do my essay on dolphins!”
Everyone likes dolphins right? So I wrote about a guy who did acid with dolphins.
Not all my complaints about college are about politics. For one thing, nobody in my generation parties.
When I was in high school, there was a house party nearly every weekend, so I thought when I got to college, there must be college parties. Nope.
When my buddy turned 19, I told him: "You only turn 19 once, so I’m going to buy you a bottle of Grey Goose, we’re going to duct tape your roommate to the wall, and we’re going to rage all night”.
His reply? “Nah, I’d rather just go home and hang out with my parents.”
What? When I was 19, I put my house address on Facebook. One hundred people showed up and I lost my cat.
What is wrong with my generation?
That's only part of it. WATCH to see all 10 reasons college sucked for me.
Like I said, unless you’re going into science, technology, engineering or math, college is a waste of time. Learn a trade instead.
