The real "Crimes of Grindlewald"? Movie not progressive enough, say Harry Potter fans

Ben DaviesRebel Host | Rebel Reel Reviews

The new movie in the Harry Potter franchise, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindlewald, is being called "the most controversial" yet. It also opened with the lowest ticket sales in the history of the series. So what happened?

Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, a vocal "progressive," is now being accused of not being progressive enough. Left-wing fans are complaining that the gay characters aren't gay enough, that accused abuser Johnny Depp is one of the stars, and that the movie "perpetuates stereotypes about Asian women."

Well, J.K. Rowling, you made this leftist bed. Now you have to lay in it

To anyone who’s paying attention & understands history, this was inevitable. We’re at the “who can virtue signal the most” stage. Eventually this won’t be enough & those who virtue signal too enthusiastically will find themselves on the chopping block.

Well said Ben Davies. You skewered the insanity of Leftist identity politics precisely and then grilled it to perfection. Leftist extremism, not unlike Islamist extremism, is perpetually doomed to consume itself in the unending hell of oneupmanship. Where each group seeks to be purer than the other. Pathetic nonsense.
