The FACTS about Cadbury's Easter halal controversy

Jack BuckbyRebel Contributor

The left-wing press has been chortling at all us horrible racists who are concerned about halal certification.

In story after story, they've joked about how the awfully misguided working classes of Britain are outraged at a problem that doesn't exist. They claim we're so stupid we don't know the difference between "halal" and "halal certified."

But we do.

Cadbury might not be halal certified in the UK, but they are elsewhere in the world. And it's time we spoke about it.

This Easter, halal products are being sold — and they could end up funding terrorism.

This is serious stuff.

Since I didn’t know about Cadbury’s connection to Halal, I immediately ran to check out the Easter treats I bought. Fortunately non of them were Cadbury, thank God.

Hey Cadbury many of the people you are bending over for were shocked at how much sugar was in an Easter Creme Egg, so will you bend over for them when they demand less sugar as well?

Maurice Potvin sorry to hear that. Hard to lose those we care about.

I put Cadbury on my boycott list as soon as I learned they pay to obtain “halal certification”. They won’t be sending MY money to HAMAS!!

Thanks to all for your condolences and wishes. Again, happy Easter.

Jack Buckby, from a Canadian girl, I do like the way you pronounce controversy!

I stopped eating lamb as well. My local Sobey’s only has Halal lamb. Other products are a little harder to identify. I have Fraser’s list and don’t buy from companies on the list. Norbest turkey instead of Butterball. Problem is in Canada they either hide the certification label or it is not there at all. Case in point is Kellogg’s. Have not seen it in Canada. Campbell’s soup is the same. Some have it and some do not so I buy none. I spend winters in Thailand and for Kellogg’s it is right on the front of their packaging. Can someone suggest a good website for researching products in Canada? It would be much appreciated and I can pass it on. Australia has a good one but can’t find a similar one for Canada.

Since 9/11 – IN THE NAME OF ISLAM (SATAN): 35,048 Attacks, 227,451 Killed, 307,406 Injured that we know of.

I need to be constantly reminded of these Halal products because I always forget, especially with products that I buys so seldom. I do remember that there’s an Islamic connection to Butterball turkeys, although I don’t recall the exact details. This is the time of year we celebrate the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. My younger brother passed away one week ago today, the service was held yesterday. It’s because of what Jesus did on Calvary that I hope to see him again. Mohammad and Allah can’t save anyone, but they can and do deceive many, ensuring their eternal damnation. I believe it’s our duty to speak out, so as to save as many possible. If we don’t, we will be held accountable. Happy Easter to all.

Flat Earth…Flat Water, I have witnessed people putting a pork roast or package of bacan among the halal certified meat at the grocery store….I don’t report them!

The next time you go to your local meat market request some " halal pork" and see the looks on their faces… It is too funny to be true..

Fraser McBurney, how about you post your list of Halal Certified products we should boycott?

Flat Earth…Flat Water, this is the day our saviour was betrayed, betrayed by a friend…he died for our sins and the path to God is through him. Wishing everyone a very Happy Easter.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say to “celebrate” the birth of our Saviour but it does say to acknowledge it.. however getting past that if I’ve got things right we are supposed to have a celebration and a feast in recognition of our Lord’s resurrection proving gods word to be true and that there is everlasting life for all who believe and seek the face of God through his son our Lord Jesus Christ. Happy Easter to all and an extra blessing to those who believe and may the good Lord look after you in the time of troubles that we will be going through as this earthly plane goes through rebirth pains in anticipation of our saviours arrival.

God bless.

Happy Easter Jack, from Canada.

Derek Williams, whats up with that? Its a deal with the devil. It gets us to fund terrorism without our knowing. Its not just certification to satisfy Muslims, it is a forced jizya tax on the infidel which then goes towards funding Islam in all its splendor including terrorist groups.

Screw Cadbury, screw halal. Islam is insidious, we know what halal certification fees go towards. Islam. Either Mosques, Muslim community centres or terrorist groups outright, like Hamas and Hezbollah.
Thanks for reminding Canadians we have Muslim associations in our country which are linked to this kind of funding.
Don’t buy Cadbury or any Easter candy which neglects to use the word “Easter” on its packaging,( it is a jab at Christianity) and contributes to terrorism.
Yes there are many products to watch out for. Good reminder to be vigilant.

All my pork products are halal.. in fact some of my pork wears the hajii label because my pork has been on a pilgrimage to Mecca.!!
Only the best pork for me and my family.!!

I have a list of companies that make halal products and when I see their brands in stores, I buy other brands. Why should I pay for halal certification when I’m not Muslim? I didn’t ask for halal food. I even called a grocery store I frequent to tell them that I can’t eat halal meat and specifically requested that they have non-halal sections in the store.

I brought up this very issue of Halal Australian leg of lamb with the manager of Costco in Langley BC about a year ago. I complained about the method of slaughter (no stunning prior to cutting of the throat) and the fact that the Halal certifier could give money received for certification to terrorist organizations. I got nowhere with him. Meanwhile I have noticed that all New Zealand lamb, be it leg, shoulder or even sausages, are all Halal certified. So now I do not eat lamb at all.
You have to know what to look for on the labelling of the packet for lamb be it for Australia or NZ.

What I find amazing is that lamb processors in Australia and NZ send halal lamb to Canada knowing that we have, as of now,a small Muslim population. What gives with that? Are they too lazy to separate out non-halal lamb from halal lamb thereby making sure that the Halal certification agency get even more fees from unsuspecting non-Muslims on other countries. Grocers in Canada ought to be made to label halal meat and give a description of what halal slaughter means.

Drop Cadbury and others a message explaining why you leave their products on the shelf.

Happy Easter to you Jack, enjoy this time with your family and friends.
