UK: The Rebel in London for Gay Pride

Rebel Staff

This weekend a record breaking one million people descended on London to celebrate the city's annual Gay Pride weekend.

Marking 50 years since the decriminalization of homosexuality in the UK, The Rebel's Lucy Brown and I headed to London to find out if the city had been taken over for a gay rights protest, or just a piss up.

The most frequent answer seemed to be, “I came here to get drunk,” or “I’m really drunk.” I guess they worry about nothing until they start disappearing. Conservative gays have an uphill battle just to bring awareness to the rest.

When the population of Londonistan rises to a specific point – around 18% – 25% islamic – this parade will likely cease to exist.

The jihadi mayor will love that.

GARY WIEBE, I am also straight, so I don’t quite know the answer to your question, but I think the important part is “I don’t bother gays and they don’t bother me…”

I don’t bother gays and they don’t bother me but I can’t help but wonder what is there to take “pride” in when a man shoves his private parts up another man’s garbage chute? Call me homophobic if you want, I can take it.
