Mark, I only disagree with you on one point. Suzuki isn’t a scam artist. He is a paid subversive, paid by Tides and other American interests to attack and hopefully destroy Canada’s energy sector. His “peaceful protestors” are also paid subversives. Paid by so called “non-profit” incorporations which are funded by American and other interests to attack and hopefully destroy Canada’s energy sector. This is a plot by foreign nationals against Canada.

David Suzuki is the biggest scam artist in the country. If you look closely many times he is wearing a Rolex watch which of course goes against his woe is me back to the earth garbage. Not to mention the guy owns several homes throughout BC. Nothing against the guy making money but when he makes out like he is a pauper it makes me cringe. Total hypocrite.

I have been a proponent of the death penalty because life never meant life but a decade at the most. If life did mean life I would definitely support it without the death penalty. Now how about taking away most of the perks that lifers can get like the Internet, cable tv etc etc. What ever happened to making small rocks out of big rocks all day long.

Thanks Hannah. I hope the rebel can provide a (several time) daily update of the news and breaking stories. I would love to see a 5 minute recap of whatever is happening. SNN used to do it every hour on the hour, but a couple of times a day would allow me the opportunity to get the update, then check the recent features. As for the criticism of your production values, I am just really happy to hear real news. The technical imperfections are simply growing pains of what I hope will become a major media source in Canada. Keep up the good work!

Yeah, Robert, a lapel mic, but really she just needs to learn how to talk into a mike without all the pops. Maybe more than one take, with someone checking the audio? This kind of attention to detail is what gave Sun the somewhat bad rep they had for production values. And the backdrop? Not too important, but outside on a breezy day is usually something to be avoided. I like the “morning update” format.

I don’t have a problem with sentences meaning what they say. But existing sentences handed down under the old rules need to be adjusted so that under the new rules, the sentence lasts as long as the judge expected it to when he passed sentence.

Get poor Hannah a lapel mic!! Perhaps you could find a way to raise money to buy one? :P And come on, isn’t there somewhere better to shoot the clip than in front of a big pile of construction garbage? Eeeek!

Richard Fantin, your link does not identify what Canadian online anti-Islam sites CSIS may be monitoring as possibly extremist but as they are described as promoting violence, they do not apply to those you call “Harper fanboys” (How sexist of you!)

Harper fans do not promote violence against Muslims. Nor do Christians or Jews, Hindus, Sikhs or Buddhists. Only criminals promote and use violence.

You link tries to suggest anti-islam groups in Europe are Breivik adherents but we know that is false. Breivik had – and still has – no followers.

I can tell you that when I visited the FB page of the CDL (Canadian Defence League patterned after Tommy Robinson’s English Defence League), the only person available was a Muslim who tried to convert me, who told me RCMP was constantly watching the site, and that when the global caliphate was established, Canada’s name would be changed to Marganestan. Despite the EDL is slurred as racist by much media, my experience with the CDL was quite the opposite of anything anti-Islamic.

What sites are they talking about? Do you know?

Can’t we just arrest David Suzuki and get it over with already? He seems to want so badly to be a one percenter.

I support the Conservative tough on crime agenda but I want to preserve the parole system. The last thing we need is law that keeps dangerous offenders behind bars for a full sentence then releases them into the community with no superivision.

I want law that requires some offenders to be paroled under strict conditions until they die. Not just for Williams/Bernardo/Magnotta-type crimes but also for Homolka-type crimes.

Some offenders may not be eligible for a life sentnece behind bars but surely we can require them to live under strict parole conditions until they die.

Can some one explain why leftists are against violent criminals serving there full sentences. Makes me wonder if the book about liberalism being a disease is actually accurate.
