I had a two hour visit with Tommy Robinson in Belmarsh Prison today, and I'm happy to report that things seem to be going well.
Tommy is getting regular medical checkups, for example, and even the warden has been visiting him to keep an eye on his well-being.
That said, there are double standards in place: Tommy is being treated a bit differently than many other, much more dangerous, prisoners here. WATCH as I explain.
Tommy is in good spirits, looking forward to getting out in two weeks. He especially can't wait to get a haircut!
One thing he is excited about is the chance to continue working on his new documentary, called The Rape of Britain.
I was surprised to hear that Tommy is getting letters not just from his long time supporters, but also from leftists and liberals, who say they have been “woken up” by his story. For him, the indication that his efforts to raise awareness about Muslim grooming gangs were worth the toll it has taken on his life has meant a great deal.
Unfortunately, Tommy has a court date in Luton on September 3, as part of an effort to get him banned for life for attending football matches. The logistics are still being sorted out, but we will keep you updated at PrisonReports.com.
