Like many people around the world, I follow Tommy Robinson’s case with great concern, and I’m interested in his election campaign — but I can’t get reliable news about it from the mainstream media.
Just like with Tommy’s trials, I’ve learned that you can’t trust what the mainstream media says.
So, Ezra has asked me to do something about it — he has asked me to go to Manchester for two full weeks, to cover Tommy’s campaign every single day.
Not to work on his campaign. But to report on the campaign, to do real journalism.
Just the facts. Tell the story. Show what really happens. Interview people in the crowds. Talk to people who like Tommy — and to the people who don’t.
I will interview Tommy himself without putting words in his mouth. Just honest journalism — real reporting.
I’m excited about the opportunity — and a little nervous. But I know that, even as a student journalist, I can do better than the biased mainstream media does.
So I’m going — for two full weeks.
I’ve booked a very cheap flight from Canada to the UK. And I’m staying in a very low-cost AirBNB for two weeks. That’s about $2,000 in total.
But Ezra insists that I have a security guard next to me when I do this reporting — because I know that some of Tommy’s haters can sometimes get physical. So, hiring a security guard is actually the most expensive part of my trip, but Ezra won’t let me go without it.
If you give me the tools, I’ll do the job. I’ll report honestly and fairly. I’ll do several stories every day.
And finally we can have a REAL report on how Tommy’s campaign is doing.
Please help me and The Rebel crowdfund my flight, AirBNB and my security by going to RealReporters.uk — and thank you very much.
I’ll do my very best to live up to your expectations.
