Tommy Robinson walks free on a battery charge after the case was dismissed during a brief court appearance. The anti-sharia activist explains that the state wants him back in prison where it would be easy to have him killed.
Tommy Robinson has had a charge of battery dismissed in court. He said the judge questioned the police’s motives for pursuing the case against him when they did.
“My case has been dismissed. Even the judge made comments about the police’s motive of prosecution. Thank you all”, he announced on Twitter on Thursday afternoon.
And well the judge should question that indeed. I hope that judge has no ambitions to appointment to a higher court however.
12:40 PM Grenwich: Bench retired to consider dismissal or adjournment. Could go either way. It’s hard to hear everything behind our glass screen; relying mostly on reading body language. The defence is excellent; prosecution on the whole floundering. Don’t know how long we will have to wait.
1:00 PM: Case dismissed with costs!
