1. Islamic State fighters in Afghanistan kill at least 15 Taliban
MAZAR-I-SHARIF, Afghanistan (Reuters) - Islamic State fighters attacked the house of a Taliban commander in the northern Afghan province of Sar-e Pul on Tuesday, killing at least 15 people as they were attending a prayer ceremony, the provincial governor’s office said.
The attack, in Sayyad district of Sar-e Pul, followed reports from local officials of fighting between Islamic State and Taliban militants in other northern provinces over recent days.
“Two Daesh fighters entered a Taliban commander’s house where a ceremony was under way and opened fire,” said Zabihullah Amani, spokesman for the Sar-e-Pul governor’s office said, using a term widely used for Islamic State.
He said 15 Taliban were killed and another five wounded.
2. France: A Second Jihad in the Bataclan?
"The French Suicide" ("Le suicide français") is a book published by the author Éric Zemmour in October 2014. Just one year later, on November 13, 2015 in Paris, a horror took place at the Bataclan Theater, when three terrorists fired into the crowd during a concert, murdered 130 people, and injured 413. Some of the victims had been tortured.
The French population reacted as usual: shock and horror quickly gave way to resignation and submission. Flowers, candles and teddy bears were placed at the scene of the attacks. The government promised to act, but did almost nothing. A ceremony was organized that ended with a song that said, "When All You Have is Love". [...]
Lawyers for the victims of the attacks carefully read the report of the commission of inquiry (released to the public on July 5, 2016), and discovered a few shocking facts.
It turned out that soldiers in charge of anti-terrorism operations had been standing nearby on the night of the attack. Also, when the police officers who arrived at the scene as the attack began discovered that they had no adequate weapons with which to confront the terrorists, they asked the soldiers for help. The soldiers contacted the Military Governor of Paris, General Bruno Le Ray, who replied that France was “not at war”, and that it was “unthinkable to put soldiers in danger to save lives”. Therefore, while dozens of innocent people were being murdered, the soldiers, a few dozen meters away, did not respond. Meanwhile, the police waited for reinforcements, which took more than three hours to arrive.
3. Austria Refuses to Take More Boat Migrants After Ship of 450 Arrives in Europe
Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz has made clear his strong stance on unlimited mass migration after he refused to take part in an EU-wide effort to distribute the migrants of a fishing boat that landed on an Italian island Monday.
Writing in a letter to his Italian opposite number Giuseppe Conte, the leader of Austria’s Conservative-Populist coalition pointed to the already remarkable generosity of his nation in taking in hundreds of thousands of migrant arrivals during the course of the Europe migrant crisis.
Kurz wrote that Austria had “accepted more than 150,000 asylum applications since 2015, making it one of the highest levels of solidarity in the EU [per capita], while many other EU member states have so far received very few asylum seekers… Austria will therefore not participate in additional redistribution”, reports Kronen Zeitung.
4. Gaza’s Latest Weapon? Arson Bird Found Near Border With Israel
Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have used kites, balloons and flaming condoms to try to start wildfires across the border in Israel -- and now a bird, according to Israeli authorities.
A falcon, outfitted with a harness tied to a steel wire with flammable material at the end, was found hanging in a tree near the Gaza border, the Israel Nature and Parks Authority said in a statement Tuesday. Inspectors putting out a fire nearby found the dead bird Monday afternoon, the authority said.
This is the first time an animal has been used to ignite fires during weekly border protests that began in late March, according to the authority. The organization said it’s considering filing a complaint under international treaties over the use of an animal for what it called terrorism.

7. FBI Reveals Explosive Details of Terror Conspiracy
The FBI just released details of what it describes as a “plan to accept money to fund a terrorist attack in the U.S. [that] was not a standalone plot—it led to the uncovering of a broader conspiracy involving an international ISIS financing network, shady shell companies, and a plan to develop weaponized drones for use by the terror group.”
The story was published after District Judge Ellen L. Hollander sentenced Mohamed Elshinawy, 33, of Edgewood, Maryland, to 20 years in prison. The plea bargain included admission of guilt to:
conspiracy to provide material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS), a designated foreign terrorist organization; providing and attempting to provide material support to ISIS; terrorism financing; making false statements in connection with a terrorism matter.
8. Transgender prisoner who was put in a female jail despite not having sex-change surgery “sexually assaulted four women inmates before being moved to a male prison”
A transgender prisoner has been accused of sexually assaulting four female inmates after being sent to a women's prison, despite not having had reassignment surgery.
It is alleged the first attack took place within days of the inmate arriving at New Hall jail in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
The prisoner, who has been living as a woman for more than two years, was seen visibly aroused during the assault at the high security complex. [...]
The transgender prisoner has now been sent to a Category B men’s jail in a case that will reignite the debate over whether such prisoners should be sent to women's jails prior to gender reassignment surgery.

10. Hungary to quit U.N. migration pact shunned by Washington
BUDAPEST (Reuters) - Hungary will quit a U.N. migration pact before its final approval, it said on Wednesday, calling the agreement a “threat to the world”.
The Global Compact For Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration was approved on Friday by all 193 U.N. member nations except the United States, which pulled out last year.
But Hungary, led by right-wing nationalist Prime Minister Viktor Orban, has decided not to sign the final document at a ceremony in December.
“This document is entirely against Hungary’s security interests,” Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto told a news conference, adding: “This pact poses a threat to the world from the aspect that it could inspire millions (of migrants).”
Hungary, along with Poland and Czech Republic, has taken a tough stand against the admission of migrants, putting it at odds with the European Union, but striking a chord with voters by arguing that irregular immigration threatens European stability, and fencing off Hungary’s southern borders.
Szijjarto said the U.N. pact was “extreme, biased and facilitates migration.
