3. Canada: Dalhousie University offers emergency hijab kits
The Dalhousie Student Union is offering emergency hijab kits after Muslim women on campus reportedly had their head coverings pulled off and spat on, but the university says it doesn't expect the kits will be used.
Dalhousie Student Union president Amina Abawajy said the emergency hijab kits come in response to mounting harassment and violence against Muslim women on campus.
'We were hearing about safety concerns from Muslim students across campus,' she said Tuesday, noting that the hijab campaign is an attempt to make students feel safer while raising awareness about hate crimes against Muslims.
4. Police Backup For Swedish Fire Brigade Delays Extinguishing No Go Zone Fires
Firemen in the heavily-migrant populated Uppsala suburb of Gottsunda were forced to let fires rages for hours while they waited for police back up due to the danger of being attacked by local residents.
Emergency services were first alerted to the fires at 6:39 pm on Tuesday but did not arrive on the scene until 9:34 pm, almost three hours later, due to the danger of being attacked by locals in the area. Lisa Sannervik of the Uppsala police confirmed that they suspected firemen would have likely been targeted because of previous police operations in the area earlier this week Aftonbladet reports.
In total several cars and a garage containing 50 or so cars were set on fire in the area. A witness to the fires expressed disbelief in the emergency service’s response time saying, “we stood 45 minutes, an hour. Nobody came.”
'There was smoke over the entire area,' the witness added.
Police spokeswoman Sannervik justified the delay saying, 'it’s out of safety. We have on several occasions been attacked by stone-throwing in the area.'

6. Fearing Attacks, Jews in German Town to Stop Wearing Yarmulkes
Attacks and insults on German Jews driven by Muslim youths have together forced a Jewish community to cease wearing the traditional skullcap, according to a local report.
Members of a small Jewish community in the industrial city of Bochum will no longer wear individual kippahs (yarmulkes) because they draw attacks from Muslim youths, they announced earlier this month.
According to the Jerusalem Post, German news outlet Radio Bochum first reported a Jewish community member advising locals to stop wearing kippot in public because they are routinely faced with insults on public streets after being identified as Jews. Bochum is in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, with a population of nearly 365,000 and a Jewish community numbering over 1,000.

Violent attacks against German police have reached epidemic proportions, and Chancellor Angela Merkel's open-door migration policy is to blame, official statistics show.

8. EU Migrant Policies Rejected by 74 Per Cent of Central Europeans
A strong majority of Europeans across 11 nations are opposed to the European Union’s (EU) immigration policies, including nearly nine in 10 Hungarians.
The survey was conducted by the Nézőpont Institute in Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
It revealed that 74 per cent of respondents in those countries believed that the EU’s migration policies have or will be negative for the continent.
Central Europeans were the most opposed, with 89 per cent of Slovaks and Hungarians holding a negative view of the policies, closely followed by 88 per cent of Czechs.
9. Boss of Qatari Charity Funding UK Mosques and Schools Linked to Anti-British Extremism
A Qatari charity pumping money into British schools, mosques, and prisoner groups is led by a man who also launched a radical website that ordered Muslims to hate Jews and Christians and to destroy their monuments.
Yousef al-Kuwari is the chief executive of Qatar Charity UK (QCUK), which describes itself as 'non-faith-based' but 'distributes donations that are specifically earmarked for projects related to Ramadan and other Islamic traditions'.
The group’s work includes the construction of a new mosque in the north of England and supporting projects teaching British school children and former prisoners.
10. Report: Muslim population in some EU countries could triple
Figures suggest stark east-west divide, with UK population share rising from 6.3% to 16.7% in one scenario
The Muslim population in some European countries could triple by 2050 while it will barely change in others, according to new projections released by the Washington-based Pew Research Centre.
The report, Europe’s Growing Muslim Population, shows a stark west-east divide. The Muslim share of Germany’s population could grow from 6.1% in 2016 to 19.7% in 2050 if high migration continues, whereas over the border Poland’s share would change from 0.1% to 0.2% in the same scenario.
Even if all current 28 EU members, plus Norway and Switzerland, closed their borders to migrants, the Muslim population share in the west would continue to grow owing to a younger age profile and higher fertility rates, but remain very low in the east.
