4. Islamic State Iraqi Migrant Tube Bomber Was on Verge of Being Given "Deradicalisation" All Clear

An illegal migrant from Iraq was set to be given the all-clear by the government’s deradicalisation programme shortly before he planted a bomb on a London tube at Parsons Green.

The case of Ahmed Hassan was discussed by a multi-agency panel, aiming to assess his risk of being drawn into terrorism, ten days before he launched the attack, The Times reports. However, they had failed to review his case for months before he struck.

After entering the UK in a lorry from France in October 2015, the future terrorist openly told the authorities in January 2016 he had been trained to kill by Islamic State.

In March 2018 he was convicted of the attempted murder of 93 people on the London underground train, and jailed for a minimum of 34 years.

5. Despite Senate Opposition, Turkey Still to Receive F-35s

JNS.org – Despite the US Senate voting overwhelmingly to block the sale of the advance F-35 fighter jet, Turkey is still set to receive the jet this week at a ceremony in Texas.

“Lockheed Martin will hold a rollout ceremony for Turkey this Thursday in Fort Worth, and the two jets will follow-on to Luke Air Force Base in Arizona at a later date,” said Pentagon spokesman Lt. Col. Mike Andrews, reported CNN.

“Turkish F-35 pilots and maintainers have arrived at Luke Air Force Base and will begin flight academics soon,” he added.

A bipartisan amendment to the $717 billion National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which was passed on Monday by the Senate in an 85-10 vote, prohibits the transfer of the F-35s to Turkey amid a deterioration in US-Turkish relations.

6. "Nobody deserves this kind of life" - Wife locked away for 16 years by violent husband

A VIOLENT husband who kept his wife a prisoner for more than 16 years while subjecting her to regular beatings and abuse has been jailed.

Aziz Rehman, 47, would only allow 36-year-old Zeenit Bibi to leave the house to do the school run and prevented her from seeing doctors about the injuries he inflicted on her.

The evil thug would often batter his wife and on one occasion hit her with a metal chair and smashed her on the head with a dumbbell.

A court heard how the businessman kept Zeenit captive at their home in Hodge Hill, Birmingham, between 2000 and 2016.

She finally escaped and raised the alarm while her abusive husband was out of the country.

7. Liberal Group Forced to Pay Millions to Anti-Islamist Activist

The Southern Poverty Law Center will pay anti-Islamist activist Maajid Nawaz and his organization, the Quilliam Foundation, $3.375 million as part of a settlement agreement for wrongly including them on its list of anti-Muslim extremists. The group also issued a written and video apology.

The law center is a non-profit organization that bills itself as a human rights watchdog.

The list, called the “Field Guide to Anti-Muslim Activists,” also included Clarion Project and our national security analyst Ryan Mauro. The group removed the list from its website in April.

The notorious list, which was offered as a guide for journalists and the like, became of a source of damage for those on it. This was due to the fact that not only the mainstream media used it, but also four of the world’s largest platforms partnered with the Southern Poverty Law Center in determining their designation of hate groups and hate speech.

According to an exclusive report by The Daily Caller, Facebook, Amazon, Google and Twitter “all work with or consult Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) in policing their platforms.”

Amazon, in particular, gave the SPLC direct authority over its platform. “We remove organizations that the SPLC deems as ineligible,” an Amazon spokeswoman told The Daily Caller.
