2. Dutch police shoot man reportedly waving axe on balcony
THE HAGUE, Netherlands — Dutch police say they shot and wounded a man who was standing on the balcony of a residential apartment block and reportedly was waving an axe and shouting “Allahu akbar.”
In a series of tweets, Rotterdam police say the shooting happened early Wednesday afternoon in Schiedam when police tried unsuccessfully to calm the man. When an arrest team entered the apartment, the man attempted to attack them and injured a police dog.

5. Indonesian designer Anniesa Hasibuan jailed for fraud
A leading fashion designer, who made history at New York Fashion Week by having all her models wear headscarves, has been jailed for 18 years for fraud.
Indonesian designer Anniesa Hasibuan and her husband, Andika Surachman, were found guilty of running a scam through their travel agency, First Travel.
Prosecutors say they were paid over $60m (£45m) to organise mini pilgrimages to Mecca.
But they were accused of embezzling the money and the trips never took place.
Hasibuan has been described as a leader in Islamic fashion, due to her luxurious designs.
6. EU Unveils Plans for “Drastic” Funding Cuts to Patriotic Eastern Nations
Patriotic Visegrád nations in the east will each see their regional funding from Brussels slashed by around a quarter under new European Union (EU) budget rules which reward the intake of third world migrants.
Presented by the European Commission on Tuesday, the draft budget for 2021-2027 proposed what New Europe describes as “drastic” cuts in cohesion funds to Central Europe, with Poland, Hungary, and the Czech Republic each set to see a reduction of just under 25 per cent.
The plans would see Brussels shift the criteria for allocating the €373 billion pot — which is aimed at boosting the economies of poorer nations — away from GDP per capita and towards so-called EU “values” including migration and environmental policy.
7. Flensburg stabbing: Knifeman KILLED after injuring two in RAMPAGE on German train
A MAN who stabbed two people in a knife attack at a train station in Flensburg, Germany, has been shot and killed by police.
A fight broke out on the intercity train travelling north to Flensburg via Cologne and Hamburg.
During the journey a man attacked another person with a knife in carriage 10, Bild have reported.
Police were alerted at around 7pm.
When the train arrived in Flensburg at 7.06pm two police officers allegedly entered the train.
The attacker is then said to have attacked and injured a female police officer after which her colleague then shot and killed the man.
8. “You can’t wave English flag in the street!” Demos director ATTACKS political correctness
ENGLISH people feel that they cannot wave the St George’s flag because of the connotations now attached to it, said a leading think tank director.
Sophie Gaston, the Deputy Director of Demos told TalkRADIO’s Chris Hollin that English people feel “that political correctness has made it difficult to be able to celebrate things that are important” including the English flag.
She said: “It is different for different people.
“In England, I do often have people in focus groups talking about the St. George’s flag feeling that perhaps there are now connotations around that flag.
“They feel they cannot be out waving that in the street. I think it can also be a sense of there being a dominant British culture - whatever that may be. Something that won’t change with the sands of time.”
9. Radicalization & staff suicides: Europe’s biggest prison unfit to cope with jihadist inmates
French prison Fleury-Merogis, which holds 20 female jihadist inmates and is notorious for Islamic radicalization, is “simply cracking.” The staff struggles with violence and exhaustion, a prison union representative told RT.
The facility for imprisoned women within the Fleury-Mérogis Prison, located just 24km from Paris, has 290 female inmates, 20 of whom the administration tagged as Islamic terrorists, or TIS.
“Due to their specific profiles [of these 20 women], all their movements must be accompanied by prison staff, but we do not have enough personnel to carry out this task properly,” the regional secretary of the Ile-de-France branch of the CGT Penitentiaries union, Ambroise Koubi, told RT France.
