The leader of a Pakistani Islamist group vowed to “wipe Holland off the face of the earth” with a nuclear attack in response to a Prophet Muhammad cartoon competition being held in the country.
Khadim Hussain Rizvi, the leader of Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), issued the warning at an event organised by the Karachi Press Club last week.
“If they give me the atom bomb, I would remove Holland from the face of the earth before they can hold a competition of caricatures,” he said, according to the Times of India.
“I will wipe them off the face of this earth.”

A MERCEDES driver who was filmed deliberately running over an Irish pedestrian because he thought he was holding up traffic has been previously convicted of terror offences, it has emerged.
Sahid Ali, 43, was captured in harrowing footage ploughing into victim Patrick Colbert, 35, and leaving him for dead in the street and was today jailed for 12 years.
It can now be reported that in 2009 he was also jailed for 27 months for his part in sending equipment over a two-year period to Pakistan, to be used against the western soldiers operating in neighbouring Afghanistan.

7. Sex charges against former cabbie adjourned until next week
A lawyer appeared in court Tuesday for a former Halifax taxi driver accused of sexually assaulting two female passengers in separate incidents.
Bassam Al-Rawi, 42, is awaiting a retrial on an allegation of sexually assaulting an intoxicated woman who was discovered by police passed out and partially naked in the back seat of his cab in May 2015.
Al-Rawi was found not guilty at trial last year. Judge Gregory Lenehan said the Crown failed to prove the woman, who had no memory of being in the vehicle, had not consented to sexual activity with the driver.
“Clearly, a drunk can consent,” Lenehan said, sparking public outrage and a national debate on the capacity of intoxicated persons to consent to sex.
The acquittal was overturned in January by the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, which ordered a new trial.

African migrants who thought they would be denied passage to Europe became violent and threatened to kill the crew of an Italian supply ship that had rescued them.
Vos Thalassa, a specialist Offshore Supply Ship which works supporting French oil and gas company Total, picked up more than 60 migrants after responding to a distress call in the Mediterranean on Sunday night.
But within minutes, the crew were taken “hostage” by the people they allowed onboard, according to Il Giornale, which reported that some of the individuals who were rescued became enraged when a Libyan coastguard boat arrived on the scene to take the illegal immigrants to safety.
