On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, guest-host David Menzies reported on University of Toronto professor Mariana Valverde's column in the Toronto Star that claims Premier Ford's cuts to the size of Toronto City Council constitute an "attack on urban diversity".
Professor Valverde worries that having fewer councillors will make it more difficult for candidates like Ausma Malik and Walid Khogali to get elected. But what is it about those two that makes them so special?
Ausma Malik wears a hijab, so she checks off the diversity component. Malik was also involved in the rigging an election at the University of Toronto, spearheaded a fundraising drive for the families of terrorists, and labelled Israeli strikes on Hezbollah "state-sanctioned murder"
WATCH David's video to see why Ford's cuts to Toronto City Council are improving democracy and preventing awful candidates from getting elected.
