Toronto Star’s jihadi blind spot: Suspect’s ISIS pledge omitted from knife attack story

Brian LilleyArchive

The entire media world took notice of a woman who attacked customers and employees of a Toronto Canadian Tire this past weekend. Well, almost all the media world.

While even CBC could talk about the woman that pledged allegiance to ISIS, the Toronto Star, the Red Star, ignored any reference to the jihad.

Watch as I explain.

Why is it that people have to call others names? I’m as confused by the blindness and the ideology of left-leaning people and as perplexed and angry at our current political climate as the next person. However, calling names will NEVER get those with blinders on to consider the reality of the road on which society is heading.

We have learned to read what isn’t said in the msm. There is an informal dictionary of sorts that many of us are familiar with. Webster should publish such a dictionary so that everyone will know what the msm is really saying in their reports!

At the time it happened NO Canadian media broke the story. Hmmmm, Police holding back info while the RCMP treat this as a serious sleeper cell investigation? It wasn’t until her court appearance that any media covered it at all and then only the TO Sun – CBC radio had to cover it after the fact a day later —not sure if CTV and Glow-ball covered it but it wouldn’t surprise me if they didn’t – except the Sun the whole Canadian MSM cluster fxxk is on the Librano payola plan.

And there’s the rub – we have a government and a dangerous idiot leader who will openly suppress truth and realities of their mistake and false narratives on Islam and Islamic integration into the “mosaic” – It ain’t happening glamor boy and the Canadian people are suffering for your lies.

Canadian Mongrel, in my view, Canadians had a right to know about the Canadian Tire (of all places!) Islamic Terrorist attack long before Tuesday. I think it was kept until then because Justin Trudeau wanted a perfect photo op on Kelly and Ryan’s show on Monday and that news would have marred his photo op.

The part I find disturbing is the commonality of reporting bans being put in place by the courts when these type of stories are being covered. So not only was the story slow to hit the public when it happened but now we have to rely on what the courts deem we are able to handle or not.

There’s this:
Torstar Chair John Honderich argued recently that taxpayers should subsidize media:
“…that the idea of government subsidies for newspapers and other media is not “radical or a brand new idea in Canada.” It’s been around in various forms since before Confederation… pointing to a periodical fund for print magazines and non-daily papers” (Torstar owns over 100 non-daily newspapers through its subsidiary Metroland Media)
Sounds like Torstar may be pushing Trudeau’s pro-Jihadist narrative for a reason.

Rebel Fan,

To agree with but expand on your comment: The surprise is not that it took 48+ hours for the attack to be reported, but the surprise is that it was reported at all by authorities. Thankfully, we still have an open court system that the attack could become known, otherwise we would still not know…but how long until situations like this by in-camera courts?

What gets me, is that this happened on Saturday, but it took them until Tuesday to actually report this to Canadians, whereas the London attacks were immediately reported. Not even so much as a heads up to Canadians to be careful. It’s pathetic. Maybe the slogan “Diversity is our strength.” needs to be changed to “Diversity will be the death of us.”
