Trend emerges from M-103 hearings: Imaginary racism lays foundation for real censorship

David MenziesMission Specialist

Hearings for Liberal MP Iqra Khalid’s “anti-Islamophobia” motion M-103 have begun and after only a few days of testimony, things are already getting downright disturbing.

Liberal MP Heddy Fry who lied about cross burnings in Prince George, British Columbia, heads the committee, which in some ways makes her the perfect choice.

After all, she’s an expert when it comes to alerting Canadians to problems of intolerance that don’t exist and now she’s chairing a committee for a problem of intolerance that doesn’t exist.

We still don’t have a definition for “Islamophobia”, a term coined in the ’90’s by the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist organization as a way to advance Sharia law.

Far from being merely a feel-good, toothless motion condemning discrimination, M-103 lays a foundation that may lead to censorship laws curtailing freedom of speech based on the hurt feelings of one particular group.

The most disturbing testimony came from Michel Juneau-Katsuya, a former CSIS and RCMP officer who said this about Quebec media:

“Multiple times Quebec hosts have been guilty, if I may use that word of racism, bigotry, etc., what are we waiting to pull a license away from those guys?”

He then went on to criticize what’s known as “trash radio”, the descriptor given to Quebec radio stations that swing right of centre.

Even The Rebel got a mention as a site that another former law enforcement officer suggested was “amplifying the voices of the extreme right”.

Like so-called “trash radio” stations, we might need to be shut down in the name of “keeping the peace.” We wouldn’t want to incite a peace-loving group that is prone to violence if their sensibilities are offended.

It’s hard not to see how the stars are aligning.

A committee headed up by a progressive who sees imaginary racism is listening to testimony from ex-law enforcement advocating that media outlets that go “too far” in their criticism of Islam should perhaps be consigned to the slaughterhouse of political correctness.

What could possibly go wrong for the future of free speech in Canada?

I actually don’t favour religions getting rights over others. I want a secular Canada and ways to build up Canada independently.

I ran with the centre-right Progressive Canadian party. It stands for a balanced foreign policy, protecting health and social programs and to get out of the War on Terror.

M-103 to me should just be about ending the racism and bigotry against Islam and Muslims since the average Muslim wants peace.

Even people that regularly use scapegoating against Islam do so for advancing agendas, winning elections, framing debates, framing party messaging and are not for uniting Canadians.

The truth is Islam is not going anywhere. We need education on Islam without injecting hatred and to know about all religions without being hateful. This is not a left wing or right wing issue. This is looking at it to unite. Disunity means bringing on witnesses that wish to fearmonger and advocate like Tarek Farah wants for a Balochistan to divide up nations so the West can steal resources. The same goes for Kurdistan.

I believe in a foreign policy where we stop meddling in other people’s countries and where we mind our own business, and where we defend Canada.

This is not hard to understand.

We need balance and to work with other nations in a diplomatic and intelligent way.

The time has come to be about unity and bringing people together.

Islamophobia is a tool originated by the Muslim Brotherhood, of which Iqra Khalid is familiar, which is also being used by the neo Marxist government at the behest of the globalist elite to cont the masses. It is a vehicle for social engineering. It should be interesting to see who eventually wins out. The globalists and the Islamists won’t be working in tandem forever. There will be a power grab. That is when the fun will start.

Heritage Committee – September 20 Meeting

The 72nd meeting of the Heritage Committee entertained witness testimony from Tarek Fatah, Michel Juneau Katsuya and several representatives from the Ontario Human Rights Commission. An audio recording of the proceedings can be found below.

The proceedings were truly remarkable as Mr. Fatah spared no horses in detailing just how the “wool is being pulled over the eyes” of the Committee and the Canadian government in general. He was emphatic that the acceptance of Islamophobia as a form of religious discrimination was akin to denying Canadian Muslims the right to defend themselves from the religious bigots (mullahs) that they came to Canada to escape. He went on to state that hundreds of Canadian mosques are under the influence of extremist, Muslim Brotherhood operatives and, at one point, was upbraided by the Chair of the Committee herself for improper etiquette – he was speaking directly to the questioner rather than through the Chair. Mr. Fatah did not relent in his message that Islamophobia, as currently understood in Canadian parlance, is not what the Committee thinks it is. He stated that Muslims against Sharia Law were not held in the same esteem as Muslims who worked for the establishment of such law in Canada.

Mr. Katsuya was equally remarkable as he stated the greatest potential source of Canadian hate crimes and terrorism resided in a rising tide of “alt-right” forces. He offered no evidence for such a claim save for the Quebec mosque attack of 29 January, 2017. In this particular case, he offered no substantiation of claims that the perpetrator was motivated by hate and not asked to explain the fact that no charges of hate or terror had yet been leveled in the case. Mr. Katsuya continued that alt-right forces were being fed by a feeling of insecurity and that this flame of insecurity was being fanned by “trash” radio that had gone too far. His solution was to clamp down on the free speech rights of such entities.

It is safe to say that M-103 deliberations have dropped any sense of being benign and of no consequence to the free speech rights of Canadians. This right is now squarely on the table and being adjudicated by a Committee and a Chair who, as Mr. Fatah stated, scoff at those who oppose Sharia.

Islamophobia; definition: fear of Islam
Anyone who doesn’t have a healthy fear of Islamist tenets doesn’t believe in freedom or equality.
Islamophobia should be a natural trait of all freedom-loving Canadians, not something to be discouraged.

Scheer was right to disassociate himself with Rebel as it was very much for the tit-for-tat mentality of left versus right in Charlottesville.

He was 100% right for also calling McKenna because politics should never be a blood sport but a way to debate issues in an intellectual and a way where people get as much knowledge as possible. It doesn’t help people when assumptions are made too much on issues such as Trudeau’s tax idea which to me does not go after family trusts, tax havens, loopholes, CEO pay, executive pay, and other key issues which would seriously ensure people pay their fair share.

This is not socialist, communist or massively progressive, but all minor party ideologies from the far-left to the slightly centre-right Progressive Canadian party all agree that the tax system simply has not worked for most people in nearly 35 years with those at the top benefiting from the rest of us.

As for free speech versus hate speech, laws were passed in the 1980’s under the Mulroney government that says speech comes with a cost and the fact is certain groups are not allowed the same fortunes of free speech as others. I speak of course about minor parties, those without money, those without a large megaphone, and those without connections.

This is very easy to understand, and the right wing not to be confused with the centre-right which I ran with the Progressive Canadian party understand that foreign policy should not just be about war. Foreign policy should be about balance, diplomacy, mediation and not just sounding tough but actually achieving results and trying to not engage in war all the time. People want evidence-based measures and a separation of church and state.

Islamophobia is knowing more than you are supposed to about Islam!
Islamophobia is a word hurled at people to shut down rational debate!
Islamophobia is a term favoured by the Muslim Brotherhood to turn people into cowards!
Islamophobia is a made up word, designed to direct your attention away from reality.

Rebels, feel free to add to the list.

Yet Rebel easily and conveniently glosses over the fact that Chong voted for the motion as well as other centrist leaning Conservatives.

This proves that all three parties have in essence put members forward in support of the M-103 motion.

We should have an independent way of hearing what people have to say without injecting partisanship, hatred for Islam that is deranged, and identifying how to educate people on Islam because no one is a scholar except theologians and those that study Islam thoroughly, and we need to have open ears and attentive people in the committee.

Iqra Khalid and company refuse to define Islamophobia, so, we should hold a massive rally on Parliament Hill to define it for her. The sordid history & the incremental push within the UN to pass laws forbidding criticism of Islam since the 90’s. Prohibiting criticism is restricting speech, strangles our freedoms.

Why is hate speech in mosques not addressed?!!!

There’s no turning back, unfortunately. The Trudeau/Scheer brotherhood will stifle free speech indefinitely. Any talk of rescinding M103 will be met with criminal charges of Islamophobia. No CPC MP will risk criminal conviction by supporting freedom of speech.

Good point Ron Voss. Where are our conservative representatives on this travesty of justice?

You may be able to hobble the populace with costly drawn out tribunals, fines, or incarceration but you will never change how people feel about Islam, especially as the ill informed become very informed through first hand experience with sharia law.. and a neo Marxist nanny state. We have to fight this now or be prepared to give over our country.
Good posts all. It seems the main weapon the neo Marxists and Islamists have is to deny the opposition is a big as it is and forge ahead. Canadians, the bulk of which are in opposition, need to forge ahead also, deflecting the name calling and insults. We can’t be deterred or quiet. Share your opinion, talk to your neighbour, piss off your relatives. They are all starting to think about it. We can’t be the frog boiling slowly in the pot. It is time to sound the alarm.

I wonder if the ‘progressive’ Michel Juneau-Katsuya’s comments attacking our fundamental freedom of speech received any push back from the Conservatives on the committee?

Heh, Fry is Canada’s Al Sharpton. Both have zero street cred. Here’s the thing; this is a second wave of biased Librano ideological witch hunts disguised as Multicult crusades which in the first instance resulted in so much injustice the CHRC is still held in wide public disrepute – now they are back again with this neurotic one-sided racism hunt and selective enforcement.

Meanwhile in a Toronto court a real racist is on trial: Rehab Dughmosh – “I’m here for Syria. I’m going to kill everybody,” “You are all infidels – Your law is not my law" – " I will always be a supporter of the Islamic State until the last day of my life. If you allow me to go out and leave I will do exactly what I tried to do last time and failed.”

This sense of superiority, which is accompanied by entitlement and divine purpose, is at the core of cultural supremacism/bigotry, however it may be manifested individually or by a group – until multicultural supremacism is addressed in M103 legislation, Islamophobia witch hunting will have no moral or legal legitimacy – it is just a tool of religious oppression.

The LPC’s muslim caucus along with other Islamists in Canada & the UN are quite pleased with the progress of installing sharia compliant blasphemy laws in the West.
Hedy Fry is a liar and an alarmist, a willing co-conspirator to quell that which cannot be defined; and restrict freedom of speech for legitimate criticism & concern of an ideology that is antithetical to Western civilization.
The supremacist nature of this political ideology goes back to it’s founder; Islamic texts and the unending campaign of warfare prescribed by Mohammad. The Muslim Brotherhood’s long reach is undeniable, why should Canadians be silenced & punished for opposing the Islamization of Canada! There are muslims, & former muslims who also oppose this motion and any resulting legislation.

When the intolerant demand submission and adherence to 7th century Islamic laws, I will always object and refuse to submit!

Michel Juneau-Katsuya (what man hyphenates his name?) I wonder how much the globalists pay to facilitate this lie or is it purely a power trip thing? I am sure there must be ‘rewards’ for ‘playing nicely’. The number of sell outs will be escalating, identifying the cowards and sheep for what they are. The lines are being drawn and it is the left and Islam holding the chalk in their fists not conservatives.

An article posted today by a Twitter follower who’s against M-103. Will the MSM report this? Will we hear about it on CBC. Or in the National Post?

Headline UK Daily Mail: Al Qaeda magazine describes in detail how to start huge forest fires across the U.S..with instructions on how to make ‘ember bombs’

“Reveling in the unsubstantiated claim that forest fires in Australia in December 2002, unleashed a heat energy equal to that of 23 nuclear bombs, the new edition of ‘Inspire’ wants the same destructive force unleashed on America.”

As Anthony Furey reports “M-103 talk turns to prosecution, censorship”:
http://www.torontosun.com/2017/09/20/m-103-talk-turns-to-prosecution-censorship
On the first day of the M-103 hearing on Monday, Liberal MP Iqra Khalid as the first witness repeatedly made reference to how she was looking forward to the testimony of so-called “experts” to shape the outcome from this process.
As Furey notes, “Wednesday’s hearing confirmed some of Canadians’ worst suspicions about the process and its effects on free speech” with the arrival of Michel Juneau-Katsuya, a former officer in both the RCMP and CSIS, an ‘expert’ witness, presumably hand-picked by the Liberals. Furey notes that “he offered a number of eerie observations about using the state to deal with voices that ‘go too far’.”
Juneau-Katsuya promoted the leftist ‘progressive’ narrative about the threat of the “alt-right” in Quebec, never specifying how he was using this term, but expressing no concern about Islamic terrorists. He was then asked by Liberal MP Arif Virani (himself a Muslim) if Rebel Media “amplifies the voices of the extreme right?” He answered “Absolutely, absolutely”. Whoa!
Juneau-Katsuya then lamented that there was “too much shyness and political correctness when it comes to the prosecuting process, letting it go under the blanket of free speech and letting things go too far.” We should be prosecuting people more, he said. Whoa!
With this one can see how the Liberals are choreographing the desired outcome of these hearings. As David notes, “the stars are lining up”!
As Furey concludes, “This is a dangerous game we’re playing. Everyone’s free to disagree with Quebec talk radio, Ezra Levant and Tarek Fatah until the cows come home. But prosecution?! If these observations get turned into recommendations in the committee report, we have a huge problem on our hands.” As David says, “downright disturbing”! A clear foreboding of what is to come!

There are swarms of Canadians on Twitter who openly state on their profile description that they’re against it. Examples: @Manitobagal ‏ @elmocanuck ‏ @elmocanuck ‏ @carol2busy

Today in The National Post, Robert Fulford wrote a piece on Islamophobia/M-103. Below the link are copies of comments by Linda Poling, a Canadian who feels very strongly that it’s wrong for the country. Robert Fulford: A history of ‘Islamophobia,’ a word of dubious value: http://nationalpost.com/opinion/robert-fulford-a-history-of-islamophobia-a-word-of-dubious-value

Linda Poling
I read the Koran after 911 to find out more about the “religion of love” Made my hair stand on end. ISIS is Islam, they are the true followers of the Koran, and the time for fulfillment has come. The moderates know this and that is why they are allowing the soldiers of Islam to advance their terrorist attacks on the west. And the clever, soft ones, come first to lay the ground. With motion 103 and useful idiots like Trudeau.

Linda Poling
I fear Islam. But it is a rational fear. And you should too. Motion 103, that the liberals will push to become a law, will soon make it illegal to offend a Muslim. Offend the Christians, offend the Jews. Offend any group you want only one group is protected by the left. The Liberals are putting a weapon into the hands of Islam against western civilization with motion 103.

Many people along with myself have long stated that Canada is headed for the same fate as is Europe, namely Germany and France.
Those two countries had and still have gutless political leaders that are bound to see Islam rule their countries, actually Britain should also be included in the top three Islamic run countries that was Europe.
Sane people here at the Rebel have been warning everyone that we are headed in the same direction and will soon vie for first place as a country that allows Rape of women and children both female and male, and succumbs to Islamic dictatorship. We will soon have Muslim only zones in our cities where no person will be able to venture unless you are Muslim and agree with Sharia law and also indulge in the Rape culture, the wife beating culture and everything evil about Islam.
Be Warned again!
We complain, but do NOTHING!

Imagine: One or two years from now, the ‘process’ has been completed as planned and any and every form of ‘Islamophobia’ is being prosecuted by the state now – including those not giving sharia law, approval.
Since the Globalists are motivated to complete their mission sooner rather than later for logistical reasons, they will probably expedite the process of persecution…special hate-crime-police and special ‘courts’ to deal with the Islamophobes, monetary and jail punishments to start with…moving on to really serious punishm…oh wait, we already have all those things…
…and we are well on our way down that road with the slippery slope – and no apparent brakes!
What are ya gonna do…
