A woman at Trudeau’s Regina town hall tried to stump the chump when she asked, “Why are we buying oil from Saudi Arabia, Mr. Trudeau?”
It’s a good question.
Why is Canada, the country with the third largest oil reserves in the world, still buying oil from Saudi Arabia, a place that routinely hangs gay people and stones women in the streets?
Trudeau never did answer her question. Instead, he scolded her about getting her facts straight before telling her that Quebec doesn’t get oil from Saudi Arabia.
He’s not exactly wrong about Quebec weening itself off conflict oil, but that didn’t happen because of anything Trudeau did.
The credit for that goes to Stephen Harper for reversing the Line 9 pipeline.
Trudeau, while making the point that Quebec is using less conflict oil these days, inadvertently made the Conservative case for expanded pipeline infrastructure as a means to offset foreign imports.
He made the case for the pipeline he killed — Energy East — by answering a question he wasn't asked about Quebec.
The lady in Regina asked him about Saudi Arabia and Trudeau dodged the question.
Today I will tell you all the facts Trudeau didn’t know about how much Saudi oil Canada uses and why.
There is NO form of market failure, however egregious, which is not made worse by the political interventions intended to fix it.

😒
The elites own the tankers, flagged in another country and pay no Canadian taxes.
Corrupt to the core.
I do not remember so many Canadians being pissed off with their government ever.
People like myself who have never protested in their life are protesting.
No tankers allowed except into the ST.Lawrence and NB.
Canada needs a power corridor perhaps along the trans Canada highway.
Goods like oil electricity wood etc. should flow freely from province to province with no tax.
Why is it easier to import from another country than from province to province?
Sheila’s argument, however, is basically single ledger protectionism. Central Canada would fire back with: “Why are we importing cars when we could build them all here?”
Play around with the web-page below but it appears Albertans buy 50,000 new vehicles per year that are entirely forged and assembled abroad.

Everything revolves around money, nothing is done for any other reason. The industrial elite of Canada (Eastern Canada of course) don’t “hate” Alberta as many on the Right claim, they make good profits off business arrangements they have in the ME, so they aren’t about to change their business model to suit their competitors.
Is there any Eastern Canada corporate elite money invested in the oil sands? I would be very surprised if there was a significant amount.
Irving oil buys SA oil for no other reason than they have long term contracts to do so,and are making good profits from it. This will change only on the day SA runs out of oil.
53% western oil
40% USA
7% other
Also,
Quebecers prefer to import oil from Western Canada, according to Leger poll | Globalnews.

“Why is it that during times when the Liberals are in power, separatism grows?” When Stephen Harper ran the show separatism waned and we weathered a recession better than any G7 nation. Think of that when you vote in October.
The Financial Post was using reliable data only and this was not an editorial or opinion article.
I haven’t been able to find any other information to confirm if this is the case present day , but we should not only concentrate on raw crude imports , but on all foreign oil products that back out our own domestic products and crude oil derivatives.
Regarding Trudeau’s avoidance of questions , the questioners should challenge Trudeau by telling him face to face that we are on to his “bridging” gimmick .
He lied to this woman and to the crowd without flinching one bit. His answer to the second part of her question, about sharia and immigration, was also a lie.
Then there was the third part of her question about treason and hanging traitors. Never heard an answer to that.
He is as truthful and “real” as his fake eyebrows, now held in place with a better glue.
He is the. fool on Parliament Hill, and sadly he is our dicktator in waiting, with his state broadcaster dispensing his “truth” and the bought off press. Add to that expecting to know the particulars of our personal banking habits and the CRTC wanting to control Internet journalism, we will be in for a merry old time if this dumber than a rock puppet gets reelected PM.
All hail our fearing leader, Drag Queen Baby Doc and his wife, Princess HasNoBrains.
The CPC Executive office has been mistake prone lately; first with Bernier, then Poilievre and possibly Rempel. They are running out of time to fix things.
That is for sure, but other than being voted out of office I doubt he will be held accountable, unfortunately.
He thinks he’s a teacher talking to 8 year olds who he can tell them anything and they’ll believe him.
Pierre Poilievre thinks Trudeau’s doing a good job; sinking the ship that is.
(This video has audio for only half the video, but you’ll get the point. He minces no words.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTVrfOd7Xtw&feature=em-uploademail
-Yes he did also lie about the Sharia law remark, and in his own words said that Islam is ‘not incompatible’ with our culture?
-What also was a lie was when he said Canadians embrace his globalist migration plans (to a Canadian who was saying she didn’t dig it).
Pure fairy tale. Everything out of his gob is subterfuge.
Can’t we ban him for his fake news?
Glad you brought this up good points Sheila.
