Trudeau’s a “catastrophe” but Scheer’s “limping along with half a party”

David MenziesMission Specialist

Outspoken social conservative and early supporter of Doug Ford’s leadership, Dr. Charles McVety of Canada Christian College, was at the Ontario PC convention this past weekend.

Doug Ford won over Ontarians with his vision for the province, but what about conservatives in the rest of Canada?

With a federal election looming, polls show Trudeau headed for another majority.

Watch as I speak with Dr. McVety to get his thoughts about why CPC leader Andrew Scheer isn’t resonating with Canadians the way Doug Ford did with Ontarians.

“Shouldn’t Scheer and Bernier plan on a coalition to make sure the Libs don’t get a majority. "

In the world of politics, JAN G, should invariably becomes “should have” and could becomes “could have”.

As RON has pointed out, there is about as much chance of reconciliation between Max and Mr. 2 percent Scheer as there is for the Pope to turn Protestant.

That’s great NDP Sucks!… Are you predicting that the self-serving “dairy cartel” are going to determine the fate of how ‘conservatives’ across Canada are going to vote in the coming months???

Yeah the demonrats were forecasting a blue wave and they ended up with a trickle. Predicting a tidal wave is sticking your neck out too far. The reality check and fact is Maxie is facing a CPC opponent and the dairy cartel who he has managed to piss off with gusto. Have you and the tidal wave made plans if Maxie is defeated in Beuce?

“The penny hasn’t dropped” yet for the Smiling Chipmunk that he IS going to have to listen to Bernier and the PPC sooner or later… “Conservative minded” Canadians are dismayed by the Boy Blunder’s reign of terror but somehow The Chipmunk thinks he can “prevail” without taking into consideration the growing tidal wave in PPC ranks… Either he is as dumb as he looks,(!) or some key PC “backroom boys” have him on medication to give him the illusion that everything is still hunkey-doory…. Hey Dummy! It’s Not!…

We still have to support Conservatives in the smaller ridings where Bernier is not yet established. Get the PCs in there and then vote Bernier next year. Shouldn’t Scheer and Bernier plan on a coalition to make sure the Libs don’t get a majority.

“…Andrew Scheer is stuck in the 70’s. "

I think he’s stuck in “R”.

That would be retreat.

Robert, you are right. Every other jurisdiction in the West has figured out that populism is growing but Andrew Scheer is stuck in the 70’s.

Smilin’ Andy Scheer, he of the sweaty brow, nervous smile and the shifty eyes, seems determined to find a way to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory.

Brief and to the point.
While Trudeau is adept at dividing Canadians, Scheer appears equally adept at dividing conservatives. Makes me think smilin’ Andy is a Liberal shill.
