Lorne Gunter: Trudeau attacks conservative judge to distract from Lavscam

Rebel Staff

On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, Edmonton Sun columnist Lorne Gunter joined me to discuss his article about Justin Trudeau's attempt to distract the media from the ongoing SNC-Lavalin scandal by pretending his rift with former Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould began when she recommended the appointment of a conservative judge to the Supreme Court - two years ago!

When Beverley McLachlin retired as chief justice in 2017, Wilson-Raybould apparently recommended her seat be filled by Manitoba Chief Justice Glenn Joyal.

But his nomination was rejected because Trudeau didn't agree with Joyal's interpretation of the Chater or his support for individual rights over group rights.

WATCH my interview with Lorne to see how this story isn't just false, but needlessly defames the reputation of a respected Chief Justice.
