Trudeau Liberals silent as Trump bans Canadian goods and services from U.S. infrastructure projects

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

What I’m about to tell you is a secret in Canada.

At least, I cannot find a single media outlet that reported it, even though it was news announced at a noisy press conference by the noisiest president in a century.

On Thursday, January 31, Donald Trump signed an executive order banning Canadian goods and services from hundreds of billions of dollars of U.S. government contracts.

It doesn’t actually mention Canada by name. But of course Canada is by far the country that will be the most impacted — given the size of our trading relationship with the U.S., and the integration of our economies, and the nature of the products and services being banned.

I know you haven’t heard about this. You probably don’t even believe me, because it’s such shocking news, and it’s such a disaster. All you’ve heard from the Media Party instead is how amazing Chrystia Freeland, our foreign minister is, and how she totally wrestled that Donald Trump to the ground over NAFTA renegotiations.

Tonight I'll show you excerpts from Trump's announcement, because no-one else in Canadian media has told you that we’re in a trade war now.

I’m not a trade lawyer, but after reading Trump's executive order in full, I think it means that Canadians won’t even be able to make the Keystone XL pipeline that Trump approved.

Now, Trudeau doesn’t care — he doesn’t want Canadians to build pipelines in Canada, so he can’t very well demand that Canadians be allowed to build pipelines in America. Or sell the steel for it.

Oh, by the way:

Canada created 9,300 jobs in the last month for which we have data. America created 304,000. They have nine times our population. But 32 times as much jobs growth.

What do you think this new "Buy American, Hire American" executive order will do to those numbers?

We are in a trade war, as bad as anything we’ve faced in a decade. That’s dangerous.

But just as dangerous is a media party — and political establishment, including Andrew Scheer’s Conservatives, I might add — who won’t say a word about it...

NEXT: Remember when leftists eager to sabotage Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh even went through his school yearbooks to try to dig up dirt about him?

Well, turnabout is fair play, I guess:

After the Democratic governor of Virginia defended what amounts to infanticide, a conservative blog dug up his yearbook — and now the governor is being accused of posing in either a KKK robe, or a "blackface" costume.

Tonight, to make sense of all this, I'm joined by Pardes Seleh of Mediaite.com.

FINALLY:

Very Good show Ezra ! Canadians should be very aware of what Narkisso Trudeau is doing! He is the most Anti-Canadian Prime Minister in history! He represents a steam roller that crushes our core values and principles!

Things aren’t always as they seem, eh Keith?
Why?

On the other hand Keith Barnes,
If there is a Chinese missle crisis, I’d expect no less than the USA to fight back & pull the trigger.
I’d be grateful, actually.
It reminds me of a story of a girl who always prayed for the bus to be on time. Every time she said “Hail Mary”, the bus would show up.
Sooner or later, the bus would appear later in her prayer, making her think about her devotion. Finally God said, “What about the other people on the bus? Are they not asking for safety and punctuality too?”.
She was never spoiled enough to think of herself afterwords.
I hope Americans are like that when fighting for liberty.

Thank you Keith Barnes.
Gratefully I thank you.
I don’t think censorship is even possible even what people really think or say in private.
Free Speech finds a way. And even the worse of it should be said. Even from the worse of people that twist the truth.
We gotta be smart then forgive them. Moving on in the pursuit of truth.
What you said is a reminder of American greatness. I want it in my home, Canada. But its nothing if someone else fights for it.

GAB
Gab.com operates on one rule: if political speech is legal in the United States, that speech is allowed on Gab.com.

Companies like Google, Apple, Microsoft, Twitter, Netflix, Patreon, Square, and Stripe disagree with this proposition, and believe not only that it is morally correct to dictate to Internet users what opinions we are and are not allowed to hold, but that it is morally correct to deplatform any company that disagrees with the California consensus, and actively suppress opinions, as well as the people who express them, where their users’ beliefs don’t accord with corporate interests.

As a result, Netflix now pulls comedy shows that offend Saudi monarchs, Twitter removes content of journalists and human rights activists in Pakistan, and Patreon kicks off conservatives and libertarians in the United States.

Human beings hold, and in America they have the freedom to express, a very wide range of incompatible opinions. At Gab we believe, as former President Obama put it, that “the strongest weapon against hateful speech is not repression, it is more speech.” The only thing censorship accomplishes is the elimination of reasoned argument and self-sorting into filter bubbles.

People everywhere are waking up to the significant danger of allowing banks and large technology companies to police their opinions and what they are and are not allowed to see. Companies like our own, like our DNS hosting provider epik.com, and our new payment processor, 2nd Amendment Processing, recognize both the danger of kowtowing to online mobs and the significant upside potential of serving as the backbone of the free and open Internet.

We are immensely pleased to be working with 2nd Amendment Processing, a company that recognizes that freedom of speech is not a means to an end, but an end unto itself, and we recommend 2nd Amendment Processing to any company with difficulty securing payment processing services for political reasons. We welcome freedom-loving people everywhere – no matter who they are or what they believe – to join us in building a better Internet on Gab.

You can now upgrade to GabPro with a debit or credit card once again and support us on our mission to defend free expression online for all people.

Lastly Keith Barnes,
I know enough to forgive Muslims without going native.
I couldn’t even be an American, how can you think I’d convert to Islam even walking amongst them?
Fortitude buddy. Confidence. Faith. Hope. Trust. Humour. Grievance. Sympathy & apathy.
Americans deal with the worst people IN THE WORLD and stay American. Have hope for Canadians.

Ron Joseph,
Even most of our banking is American owned. You think the US dollar is home grown?
I don’t think so.
commented 2019-02-05 13:51:29 -0500
Ron Joseph,
That wasn’t cheating. What does the USA import that we pay brutally on?
A lotta stuff. A LOT.
You think we’re a totally independent economy and the USA is too?
Nope.
commented 2019-02-05 13:49:19 -0500
Charred Remains & Dan Mancuso,
First and foremost, anybody saying “No true Conservative” is a bluff arguement. You need to cite philosophy to back it up.
Second, crashing an economy is no favour. Especially if we’re the sacrificial lamb against China.
You ding China directly, you don’t punch your friend.
There are a million and one ways to smack a globalist. Through intelligence, through trade via Europe. Immigration (not dumping the unwanted on our door step through human trafficing). NATO which I think the USA will pull out of before Trump leaves.
Lots of ways.
Besides, has anybody encountered a New Yorker before? Saying, “Yes sir, may I have another” is an EMBARRASSMENT.
The way to deal with a New York tycoon is you tripple the price of energy and if they don’t pay, you turn off the lights within a day.
You raise a lumber tax. You raise the price on grain. You tax the crap out if what the USA needs and you do it fast and hard.
Push over Liberals were bloody inept.
You don’t celebrate innocent families loosing their jobs to go on Liberal welfare. You just make Kiberal voters bc a campaign promise will be more state welfare yo rely on & no jobs to guarentee freedom.
Okay?

Karen, CANADA & MEXICO CHEATED THEIR NAFTA PARTNER THE USA BY HELPING CHINA SMUGGLE THEIR STEEL THROUGH Canada’s & Mexico’s borders.

You never heard this on CBC as it would make Trudeau look bad; Instead CBC told us Trump was an a-hole for putting tariffs on our steel.
commented 2019-02-05 13:05:29 -0500
- So picking endless fights with Trump wasn’t good strategy? Trump cut taxes, regulations & renegotiated trade deals – America is booming. Trudeau’s Liberals raise taxes & impose more regulation – Canada’s economy is stagnant & set to recede. I’m sure the Liberal party A/V team (aka the media party) is looking for someone else to blame it on other than dear leader & his disastrous policies.

- Virginia’s governor Ralph Northam (D) refused to shake the hand of his Black opponent E.W. Jackson during a 2013 televised debate. CNN briefly tried to list Northam as a Republican. Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax (D) is currently facing a sex scandal. This whole thing is a distraction from the fact the Democrat party has become the infanticide party & has swung hard to the left. They don’t care about a Democrat being connected to the KKK. Robert Byrd was a high ranking KKK member & pal of the Clinton’s & Obama’s.
commented 2019-02-05 13:04:51 -0500
I think it ought to be clarified here, that the trade war isn’t against Canada and Canadians so much as it is against the ineptitude and arrogance of the Globalist, Identity Politics bleating, Trudeau and his authoritarian-esque, Canada-hating regime!
President Donald Trump, one of the greatest US presidents…especially if you’re American…is actually doing Canada and Canadians a favour – because the finger of this trade war is pointing directly at Trudeau!
The Fake News Media Party NOT reporting Trudeau’s glaring and maladroit mishandling of this file, and every other file, is typical of how well Trudeau’s trained monkeys and bootlicks of the treasonous Fake News Media Party Liars and Whores, aid and abet Trudeau’s despicable and heinous destruction of Canada – a cheap date for $595,000,000.00…
The Scheer Conservatives…pfft…more of the same.
Look at all the enemies of Canada…and how they have exposed themselves…
-—————-
As for that lefty ‘governor’ in Virginia, I’m not laughing, not one little bit, because all I can see is another slimy, two-faced liberal getting away with murder by merely lying in all the right places…knowing the Fake News Media Party Liars will spin, lie and cover it up.
The surprising thing is how blatant and widespread this lefty-mendacity has become, and the complacency and apathy of those ignorant and/or accepting of it – this is the new normal!
The lefty liberal progressives aren’t just irrational, delusional and completely insane…they’ve moved over to DEMONIC!
…and that global juggernaut keeps rolling right over us.

Everybody just roll over for Trump and let him slap you on the nose with a news paper because Trump makes you feel like a man.
While he gives you a wedgie and hangs you by your underwear with his trade policies.
Sorry to disagree about this.
commented 2019-02-05 12:50:09 -0500
Ron Joseph,
I don’t that as a counter arguement, I see that as an excuse.
Tarrifs are not an excuse why a good product can make it to market. If anything the Chinese steel industry is on the way to collapsing on its own because of heavy debt & over production.
Why should Canada get the slap because of our importing practise?
Should we get a slap because of the Oil sands are mainly opperated by Americans owning most of the rights instead of Americans getting more expensive rights domestically?
Should we face a tarrif on energy because of the power Quebec and Ontario make for the USA instead of the USA being forced to go nuclear?
How many things do they want to make it to our market while they shut down ours?
Give and take. Trump did many things right against the Liberal gov’t, but kicking the whole of Canada in the ass is a step to far.
Where is your sense of national dignity?
Freeland is a ditz, Justin Trudeau a word I can’t type (that’s how bad it is) but the shut down is on Trump and if Canadains take it, feel free to go to where your loyalties actually lie.
Scheer and dummy Bernier the klutz foriegn affairs minister would be idiots too.
We’re not screwed if we vote in a badass to fix this.

Karen said," Buying only US steel when the US steel can’t compete is the same mantra as “too big to fail”.
_____________________
Everyone I know, ( mostly Trump Haters) don’t realize why Trump put tariffs on Canadian steel and also steel coming in from Mexico.
1. Under NAFTA it was o tariffs for the 3 Countries.
2. China wanted into this Free Trade market, so they mixed their inexpensive steel in with Canada’s and Mexico’s steel. This practice of China is called DUMPING.
3. Canada (Hamilton Ont.) made a nice profit on this illegal trading.
4. The US got inexpensive steel through their cheating NAFTA Partners.
5. Someone in the US finally noticed that the US Steel Industry was going broke.
6. Once the US Steel Industry was gone, the Chinese would raise the prices. The Chinese have been trading for thousands of years, so they know all the tricks of the trade.

Baby Doc Trudeau seems to still believe that “Budgets balance themselves” and that “We will grow the economy from the heart out.” There is a reason why he still isn’t allowed to touch the principal of his trust fund, yet there he is in charge of our multi-billion dollar country, protecting our multi-billion dollar economy. How sad.

We could have had hundreds of millions, if not billions, of spin off economy with the F-35 aircraft if we bought them. After all, we helped pay for its development. Instead, our government is buying 34 year old Australian F-18 to replace our 35 year old F-18. It made no sense from a military perspective nor from an economic perspective. This is another example of the leadership, or lack thereof, we have.

As I have said repeatedly, Justin inherited his mothers brains and Fidel’s looks and politics. God help us all.

The Canadian Government bought a pipeline and is supposed to expand it to make money for Canada’s future, yet they have failed for 6 years to build a payroll system to pay themselves. One employee got a million dollar cheque while another received a $5.00 cheque.

Buy us USA, just don’t let old Pelosi run us, as that would be the same as what we have.

Petter Netterville,
The USA is only as rich as what it owes.
Its national debt is an embarrassment. The Democrats are destroying the USA as much as possible within all factions of the gov’t.
Illegal immigration has crippled many states and if China becomes the major consumer of resources in Canada, you might as well have a Cuban missile crisis.
I used to love Trump. I respect many things he did, but trade makes a country rich.
Buying only US steel when the US steel can’t compete is the same mantra as “too big to fail”.
Small gov’t, no bail outs.
