As expected, Trudeau delivers a "guaranteed gaffe" in new Global interview

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

Saturday evening, Justin Trudeau sat down with Global’s Tom Clark for an interview.

I was expecting something bad and Justin never disappoints me. Saturday’s interview was as bad as last weeks interview with CTV Atlantic.

Within two minutes, Trudeau had wandered in Keynesian Economics Crazytown and he never came back. He said, “ Deficits are a way of measuring the kind of growth and kind of success that a government is actually able to create.” Someone should let the Greeks know how successful they are.

What is it with liberals? They’re always promoting really terrible ideas that would never play out well in the real world.

+1 – what fantastic irony. Harper have to live the rest of his life knowing that he failed to shape Canada into the right-wing nightmare of his dreams AND it will have been the son of Pierre Trudeau who cast him out! Talk about a major defeat!

Thanks Maurice. I do exactly the same…skip over their nonsense…It’s hard to win an argument with a smart person but it’s damn near impossible to win an argument with a stupid person (quote attributed to Morgan Freeman).

I stopped by my local GM Dealership yesterday for a look at the new Silverado pickup. Just for fun, I took it out for a test drive. I wanted to sense that new “feel” before they become extinct.

The salesman (a man wearing a “Trudeau for change” lapel pin) sat in the passenger seat describing the truck and all its “wonderful” options. The seats were of particular interest. He explained that the seats directed warm air to your butt in the winter and directed cool air to your butt in the summer heat.

Feeling like messing with him, I mentioned that this must be a Conservative truck.
Looking a bit angry, he asked why I thought it was a Conservative truck.

I explained that if it were a Trudeau truck, the seats would just blow smoke up your ass year-round.
I had to walk back to the dealership. Damn guy had no sense of humor.

Anyone who’s primary modus-operandi in posting comments seems to be ad-hominem attacks on the character of the reporter, or the character of others who post opinions on the article in question, and not on articulating a contrary opinion with supporting facts and data to back it up, isn’t someone who’s opinion is worth reading. Da Silva, Brinkman, Et al have as much right to post here as anyone else. However, I’ve read enough of their posts to realize that I’m not the least bit interested in what they have to say, so I ignore their posts and move on to the next one. But nor am I interested in what others have to say when they engage in ad-hominem attacks on Da Silva, particularly when foul language and personal insults are involved. Why debate them when you know it won’t change a dammed thing? I find it very disappointing when I check the comments, hoping to be informed by a free exchange of ideas, and all I find is a “pile-on-Da Silva” fest with nothing but insults being hurled back and forth. Aren’t we better than that? Can’t we all just ignore him, like I do? It gets very difficult to ignore him when most of the comments are directed at Da Silva rather than the story. Remember “freethinker”? Once we began to ignore him, he just went away and never came back. There’s no need to degrade one’s self by catering to the lowest common denominator, just skip over the post and move on to the next one. That way the comment section won’t get so cluttered. OK, that’s my rant. I had to get that off my chest.

Fair enough – just don’t be surprised when I say that I told you so.

But I would be perfectly happy with a Bernie Sanders Presidency – so it’s win/win for me.

So, CYA “lawyer spin” precludes the truth coming out?… It must be nice to be prescient like you Jimmy but I think most intelligent people realize that the FBI didn’t get involved because they just have too much time on their hands… I’ll wait for the results, thank you very much, as well as the Benghazi hearings… Then one of us will be wrong, eh?…
commented 2015-09-29 17:04:03 -0400

Yes they did say such things – those were direct quotes.

Nothing will happen to Hillary, even though Republicans and you want to see her go down. You will not get your wish and that makes me laugh.
commented 2015-09-29 16:41:45 -0400
Jimmy.. Your rewriting of reality is admittedly fascinating to watch… The Justice Department has said no such thing although some members of the State Department have tried to spinit! They, like all Americans, await the conclusion of an ongoing CRIMINAL investigation by the FBI… And that 900 more “wiped” e-mails have been recovered in the past two days is very telling… Hillary is going before the Benghazi hearing in a three weeks where she is going to have to hold up her hand and swear to tell the truth… Unless of course she invokes The Fifth, which would make her toast…
commented 2015-09-29 16:08:11 -0400
Why on earth would we want to elect another Trudeau, wasn’t the first one bad enough….
commented 2015-09-29 12:42:07 -0400

Why do you have to lie and misquote as the only way you are capable of making a point? Doesn’t your man living in the sky tell you that lying is bad?
commented 2015-09-29 12:40:13 -0400

Yes, if she dies – then she won’t be President. And Hillary would destroy Rubio/Fiorina/Carson/Cruz/Bush.

As for the emails:

Reality has bitten Republicans in the backsides again as the Justice Department is saying that Hillary Clinton’s emails broke no laws.

Justice Department lawyers argued before a federal court that Hillary Clinton’s handling of her emails broke no laws.

The Washington Times reported:

In the most complete legal defense of Mrs. Clinton, Justice Department lawyers insisted they not only have no obligation, but no power, to go back and demand the former top diplomat turn over any documents she hasn’t already given — and neither, they said, can the court order that.

The defense came as part of a legal filing telling a judge why the administration shouldn’t be required to order Mrs. Clinton and her top aides to preserve all of their emails.

“There is no question that Secretary Clinton had authority to delete personal emails without agency supervision — she appropriately could have done so even if she were working on a government server,” the administration lawyers argued. “Under policies issued by both the National Archives and Records Administration (‘NARA’) and the State Department, individual officers and employees are permitted and expected to exercise judgment to determine what constitutes a federal record.”

Republicans like Donald Trump love to compare Hillary Clinton’s emails to the crimes that were committed by David Petraeus, but the difference is that Petraeus broke the law by giving classified materials to his mistress.

The Republican email scandal is falling apart. If Clinton didn’t break any laws, why are Republicans wasting time and millions of taxpayer dollars investigating her emails? There is a reason Republicans would not allow Clinton’s aides to testify in public. Information is the enemy of the GOP’s bogus email scandal. The more information that is available to the public, the sooner the email scandal will fade away.

The email scandal is a media fueled time killer that only serves to distract attention from the real issues. Republicans don’t want to talk about their positions on the issues. They would rather try to distract the electorate with meaningless scandals.

Republicans can’t hide from the truth. There is nothing to the Hillary Clinton email scandal.

Another example of Justin not having the Wheels to be PM….He’s uber immature just like his dad
commented 2015-09-29 04:05:02 -0400
Trump?… Who said anything about Trump?… I’m starting to understand why your assumptions are so consistently far out to lunch Jimmy… It’s far more likely that in the next twelve months the Republicans will pick some combination of Rubio/Fiorina/Carson/Cruz/Bush…. As for Hillary, she has more than e-mails to worry about now… She’s taking medication to prevent another episode of blood clots in the brain… That’s from “Skippy”, who I presume is your way of trying to denigrate me…

Re-Justin’s two comments,
“The Liberal Party believes that terrorists should keep their Citizenship” ……Pure ignorance.
“I am willing to take on anybody who disagrees”………………………………….Typical Justin stupidity
The puzzled and startled laugh HIS Liberal audience gave him……………….Priceless

Justin, to start with, perhaps you can take on your own Liberal audience who thought you were joking.
commented 2015-09-29 01:25:55 -0400

I never admitting anything that you have stated. Do you always have to make shit up or misquote people to make your point?
commented 2015-09-29 01:23:13 -0400

My position hasn’t changed and the reality is Trump will never be President – despite how much people on The Rebel think he will be.

Thanks for coming out Skippy.

All hail Justin Trudeau; The economic genius and defender of terrorist rights. LOL
OK. Now, not only is Justin plain stupid. But anybody who continues to support him is stupid. DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH.
Keynesian Economic Crazyville. Perfect wording Sheila Gunn Reid.

Our Rebel Jester, previously admitted to the CBC as a left wing propaganda machine. Now he admits Justin is a Moron. LOL. And as a bonus, this Jester responds to abuse with a desire for more abuse. Why would you want this to go away?

commented 2015-09-29 00:53:35 -0400
Ahh Jimmy… So it’s “most likely” now?… Maybe reality is slowly starting to dawn in the Da Silva Universe?…
commented 2015-09-28 23:23:00 -0400

Hillary is doing just fine and will most likely be President – thanks for asking.
commented 2015-09-28 23:21:56 -0400

Well you see – even the most intelligent politicians in the world have a long list of moronic things that they have said or gaffes – it happens and I accept that. It’s a non-story, because Sheila makes it sound like he said something that is career ending. She clearly overhyped this big time.

No, I will not go away. In fact, you make me want to stay and post even more. So you have no one, but yourself to blame.
commented 2015-09-28 22:02:37 -0400
Too bad we can’t revoke Justin’s Canadian citizenship. Unfortunately he is one of our very own home grown organic liberal idiots.

The Joe Biden gaffe was a great example of one of the few really dumb people in politics, just like Justin appears to be, really dumb I mean – because most aren’t, they’re sociopaths to varying degrees. But you left out the best bits of that short video:
And of course for a short video that really empowers women in a healthy and effective way, and also contradicts what Crazy Joe says about shotguns:
There’s lots of proof out there – in their own words – that you shouldn’t listen to stupid people and their really bad ideas, especially when they are constantly putting their foot in it…and definitely do not elect these people or put them in charge…of anything. But just make sure you know the difference between the really stupid and the sociopath…
I couldn’t find the THEREBEL produced (I think) video compilation of Justin uh-ing, er-ing and um-ing, back to back.
Selling the nasty facts with humour, is like a spoonful of sugar to help the medicine go down…

Wow, this video was painful to get through – Sheila was just a stuttering, grammatical and awkward mess in trying to explain an absolute non-story that no one cares about. If you are going to attack Trudeau for the things that he says – you can’t look like the bigger fool, who has a problem just speaking English properly.

Oh my god you are even dumber than I thought. How is this a “non story” you idiot? His ridiculous statement was very telling about his level of intelligence and competence. Since you are not able to attack his statement without looking like an even bigger fool than the part time drama teacher you make a personal attack against the reporter instead? What the fuck is wrong with you Duh Moron? You are pathetic. Please for the love of god go away and don’t come back you ignorant fool.

Remember – this kid has never had to balance a cheque book or work for his money – and some would elect him to lead Canada?

Shows how the dumbing down of Canadians is working – far too well in fact.

This kid stinks – change his diaper.

Jimmy. da moron of course it was painful for you! Not for me. You lefties hate getting punched in the head.

LOL. I love it when Justin tries to use the left side of his brain.
“Deficits are a way of measuring success” what a joke. Justin has just explained the reason for Liberal failures in the past. Ontario, I hope you are getting the picture.
Sheila Gunn Reid,
You are just awesome. That “Biden” conclusion was fantastic.
Keep em coming Sheila
commented 2015-09-28 17:25:36 -0400
why is it that when our idiot lefties post in any article that the first comment they make is an insult?

They don’t address the issue, but insult either the reporter, theRebel, or the people that post here.
