Trudeau’s Liberals have just given us another example of how they will be going down the same disastrous route on energy as Kathleen Wynne’s Liberals have in Ontario, and it involves outlawing coal powered plants in this country.
Watch as I share Environment Minister McKenna’s announcement confirming that the Liberals will accelerate the transition from coal power to clean energy by 2030, and explain why it’s the wrong thing to do.
We’ve already seen this move in Ontario from the McGuinty/Wynne playbook and now Butts/Trudeau will repeat this at the federal level, shutting down energy sources that are cheap, reliable and clean in order to spur green spin-offs that are unlikely to materialize.
But that won’t stop Trudeau from putting thousands of Canadians out of work so he can virtue signal to the rest of the world that he’s better than President-elect Trump who chose instead to put coal miners back to work.
Justin shouldn’t be surprised if a few years down the road we have someone promising to do that very thing here in Canada too.
