Trudeau Liberals reward incompetent bureaucrats despite payroll system fail

Brian LilleyArchive

It is something that could only happen in Ottawa. Executives in charge of a new federal government pay system that does not work are getting bonuses.

While thousands of average civil servants have been going without pay, some for months, the people in charge of building the new computer system are getting bonuses.

Watch as I explain the ridiculous situation that could only happen in a government town.

It would have been cheaper to fire the whole lot of them and trash the computers with the fucked up programming. A few hundred payroll accountants spread throughout the whole federal system could have done the job with some laptops.

It’s the genetic Liberal trait of rewarding failure and celebrating mediocrity among their own.

Funny how these useless clowns get paid and others do not. I guess they have a SPECIAL system for them , how nice.

Chris L yes they do , they turfed the PSAC union executives over so called incompetence. We know it was to avert a strike of course , but they used that reasoning.

CHRIS :L said…
“The government in power has nothing to do with the executive bonus system in the public service.”
And I say.. they most certainly have something to do with it…
“They enable it.” !

This Phoenix Payroll fiasco was another example of the inept leadership and organizational management that we saw, for example, in the disastrous implementation of Obamacare, and the frantic attempt to allow an unmanageable number of Refugees to settle into Canada last Winter in a very short period of time. All three of these messes are classic examples of a very common failure made by poorly managed and led organizations – i.e. implementing new policies and/or programs without first ensuring that the details of the plan actually work. Repairing badly designed plans and learning as one goes can be very costly in terms of money, lives, self-esteem and especially in the credibility of the leaders. Surprisingly, preventing these disasters is not that difficult – just a lot of hard work.

What the senior brass should be doing is figuring out what and why things went wrong and then incorporating corrective and preventive measures so that these kind of problems won’t happen again. Parental reactions like punishing those who tried and failed to implement the faulty designed program/plans won’t solve much of anything.

The Peter Principle: federal government has always promoted those who botch the system.

If you are a ‘company man’ you get to the top. That goes for those who work to get them to the top, if you can actually trust them.

Too bad this did not affect CBC as well, that would have been hilarious.

If there was problems with refugee money being paid it would have been fixed in a nanosecond.

And the left who whines when a CEO gets a bonus of private money for doing a poor job is nowhere to be seen when useless big government follies make people suffer and have problems paying bills. And this does affect your credit as well. And of course the unions make no big stink, shows who they actually represent.

Of course the bureaucrats responsible for the bungling are CUPE, and they show they do not care for the lowly government worker that actually may be doing something.

Sort of like provincial bureaucrats in health who do not see the need for nurses, or educrats who do not see the need for teachers and teacher assistants.

The fed’s also have the elite unionists deciding the fate of the less elite in the same union.

DIG DEEPER!!!….speaking as a former public servant I say reveal the criteria tha public service managers are given for their bonuses….YOU DON’T KNOW THE HALF OF WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!!!

Their bonuses are linked to things like how many employees they coax over personal objection to attend “diversity” indoctrination sessions…no I am not making this up….I used to defy this and a couple of managers revealed this to me.

hmmm…isn’t not being paid ‘breach of contract’? where is cupe?…why are these dummies still working if they haven’t been paid?…

But, but …uh…. isn’t incompetence a REQUIREMENT to get a Liberal appointment/sinecure/office/candidacy

I think that the government should send me a bonus for the payment system. I did more to help it succeed than those who built it…
