Trudeau, May to push socialist, anti-progress agenda at Paris Climate Conference

Tim BallRebel Columnist

Apparently Justin Trudeau is taking Elizabeth May with him to the Conference of the Parties (COP 21) Climate Conference in Paris in December.

They will fit in well with thousands of fellow environmental socialists talking about climate, a topic they don’t understand.

At the 1992 Rio Conference, Maurice Strong introduced Agenda 21, the blueprint to create a one-world government.

The central theme at that conference was “Environment and sustainable development.” The claim was that global warming caused by the CO2 produced by developing nations was destroying the planet.

In Paris, they will further a Kyoto-type agreement, called the Green Climate Fund. Developed nations must pay for the sin of producing from fossil fuels CO2. This fund will compensate developing nations who suffered the supposed consequences.

This is classic redistribution of wealth, the very basis of socialism.

The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) created the COPs and the IPCC (Figure 1); the COP handles the political process, and the IPCC produces the science they need.

Figure 1. Source; Author

COP 15, held in Copenhagen in 2009, was a critical meeting about implementing the Kyoto Protocol through a global carbon tax. Before the meeting, one thousand emails were leaked from the Climatic Research Unit (CRU), home to major players in the IPCC Reports. The emails showed malfeasance and manipulation to create science designed to blame alleged "global warming" on CO2.

However, these email disclosures -- known as "Climategate" -- were only a slight setback. Power brokers knew most people didn’t understand what was going on, so they mounted phony investigations. Some, like Clive Crook, Senior Editor of The Atlantic knew this and wrote:

“I had hoped, not very confidently, that the various Climategate inquiries would be severe. This would have been a first step towards restoring confidence in the scientific consensus. But no, the reports make things worse. At best they are mealy-mouthed apologies; at worst they are patently incompetent and even wilfully wrong. The climate-science establishment, of which these inquiries have chosen to make themselves a part, seems entirely incapable of understanding, let alone repairing, the harm it has done to its own cause.”

The political agenda was slowed, but not halted, although more people and countries began to ask questions about it.

So at COP16, they introduced the Green Climate Fund with the World Bank as the interim trustee. In September 2015, the European Union and South Korea committed to making the GCF a major part of the Paris COP.

SONGDO, 17 September 2015 – Meeting on the occasion of their Eighth Bilateral Summit, the heads of the Republic of Korea and the European Union stressed the need to tackle climate change and confirmed their resolve to play their part in concluding a successful universal climate agreement in Paris later this year.

The three leaders affirmed their ambition to “make the Green Climate Fund fully operational and the main operating entity of the financial mechanism” under the UNFCCC for the Post-2020 climate regime.

Canada has already contributed to the Fund in 2014:

The Government of Canada has joined other nations in pledging to the Green Climate Fund, committing CAD $300 million to the Fund shortly following its first Pledging Conference in Berlin, Germany.

Trudeau, with Elizabeth May’s urging, will undoubtedly make a greater contribution and commitment in Paris. Despite this, many others are not paying:

Friends of the Earth International today demanded that developed nations provide the Green Climate Fund with the resources they pledged to it in 2014, warning that the contributions made so far are alarmingly low.

Thousands will go to Paris in December, with over half of them Non-Government Organization (NGO) members, including Sierra Club members. Elizabeth May will feel at home as past President of the Canadian Sierra Club.

The tragedy is that the entire exercise is completely unnecessary. As the French mathematical society, SocietedeCalculMathematiqueSA wrote in a recent paper titled, “The battle against global warming: an absurd, costly and pointless crusade.”

There is not a single fact, figure or observation that leads us to conclude that the world's climate is in any way disturbed. It is variable, as it has always been, but rather less so now than during certain periods or geological eras. Modern methods are far from being able to accurately measure the planet's global temperature even today, so measurements made 50 or 100 years ago are even less reliable.

Concentrations of CO2 vary, as they always have done; the figures that are being released are biased and dishonest. Rising sea levels are a normal phenomenon linked to upthrust buoyancy; they are nothing to do with so-called global warming. As for extreme weather events – they are no more frequent now than they have been in the past.

The "battle against global warming" is built on the false science created by the IPCC to support the political objective of Agenda 21. German Physicist and meteorologist Klaus-Eckart Plus explained why too many scientists don’t understand this: They've quite simple never read what the IPCC actually said:

“Ten years ago I simply parroted what the IPCC told us. One day I started checking the facts and data—first I started with a sense of doubt but then I became outraged when I discovered that much of what the IPCC and the media were telling us was sheer nonsense and was not even supported by any scientific facts and measurements. To this day I still feel shame that as a scientist I made presentations of their science without first checking it. Scientifically it is sheer absurdity to think we can get a nice climate by turning a CO2 adjustment knob.”

Agenda 21 is founded on the false idea that the world is overpopulated, and resource use is unsustainable. Elizabeth May recently underlined the importance of population control:

Green Party leader Elizabeth May admits she signed a population control resolution calling for financial sanctions against families who have more than two children, and for Canada to support abortion access worldwide.

The IPCC created the "science" bolstering the politics of Agenda 21. They claimed to prove that CO2, the byproduct of industrialization, was causing global warming. This was the "villain" they needed: a supposed global threat caused by wealthy nations who got that way by "exploiting" developing nations. The IPCC claims this "fact" requires a world government to set everything straight through a reduction in population, a reduction in development and a redistribution of wealth.

And Justin Trudeau and Elizabeth May are off to Paris at taxpayers' expense, supported by the 39 percent of Canadians who voted Liberal.

A friend just drove a truck from Toronto to MB. First thing he noticed was all thru Ont. People are burning wood to stay warm. Wonder why. And it’s only going to get worse.

Get ready to open your wallets again – and be ready to see jobs start to disappear – all in the name of progress.

I wonder if he’ll take the Castro brothers as well. As he goes to sell the country down the road to the cesspool of socialist corruption.

Andy Neimers – I was around to witness PET say these very words. Though coming from his airhead son, they just won’t have the same impact!

All our concerns about giving up Canadian autonomy to international bodies, will be met with Junior Trudeau echoing Pere Trudeau’s:- “Just watch me…” Wait and see… And the same will happen on the issue of gun control…

A PM’s first responsibility is defending the country, including it’s sovereignty. If Trudeau signs something without an exit clause, it’s a Breach of Trust, a chargeable offense.

“The climate change scam is meant to enslave the world in one big neo communist tyranny. It will all end in one big war where we rid the planet of that evil ideology once for all.”

Well stated! We Christians believe, that this is when Jesus will return, as prophesied in the scriptures. Just as man is at the brink of extinction. It will be a fight to the death, so tell me, is climate change really the issue? I think not! It is definitely coming down to the fight between good and evil. And the good side has already won the battle!

It didn’t take long for Trudeau to reward his lapdog May for her support. Now she gets to enjoy a great all expenses paid holiday in Paris. Luxury hotels, gourmet meals, expensive wines and lots of sightseeing. A wet dream for any leftist. The provincial Premiers that he wants to bring are also being rewarded for their support. Most of them are leftists also and they sing Trudeau’s praises on command. Do we see a pattern here? Of course we do. Leftists are back in control of the bank account and they have already started the spending spree with the full support of the media. So much for the dirty water problem on the reserves. I guess that can wait. I wonder if the Chiefs that drank deeply from the Liberal kool aid cup are starting to figure out that the white man really does speak with a forked tongue.

Addendum: Re: validity of any unilateral treaty Trudeau may sign -
In January 2008, the federal government announced a new policy to enhance parliamentary involvement in the process by ensuring that all treaties between Canada and other states or entities are tabled in the House of Commons before ratification. The House of Commons then has 21 sitting days to consider the treaty before the executive takes action to bring the treaty into effect through ratification or other preliminary measures, such as introducing legislation. The House has the power to debate the treaty and to pass a motion recommending action, including non ratification due to negative impacts on national sovereignty.

In some cases it is abundantly clear that domestic legislation must be put in place in order to implement the terms of an international treaty. If so, the ministers concerned give instructions for an implementation bill to be drafted. After receiving Cabinet approval, the bill is tabled in Parliament and goes through the parliamentary legislative process. The implementing legislation often contains a provision by which the treaty is approved. IF The COP 21 treaty proposes that Canada, as a signatory, is legally bound to the terms (say carbon reduction targets which could negatively impact the nation’s economy) it should not be signed by Trudeau unless it has an opt-out clause. – IF it does not, Parliament should insist that an opt-out clause be included before ratification – IF Trudeau still rams it through parliamentary process with a whipped vote, Citizens must petition government and the Federal court to have an opt out clause included as a condition of ratification.

Any thing less is willingly imperiling the nation’s sovereign interests – in which case the constitutional confines of the treaty making power are breached and the crown has lost legitimacy of prerogative.

Jason Bertucci said, “He will make Suzuki happy by attacking the oil sands and likely applying carbon taxes on producers there.”

The oilsands already have a per tonne carbon tax. Notley doubled it just after taking office.

My big worry is that Trudeau will sign us up for something that will not only cripple our economy ( carbon taxes in the multi billions, forced reduction of carbon producing industry, etc ), but allow for a certain amount of UN control over Canada.

Everyone knows that Trudeau is a proponent of giving the UN more control over our sovereignty by signing on to these Climate Change agreements.

Tim, what do you mean “may push” – I’d say it’s a given seeing how this is what he has been pimping since he was courting the pot-user vote – there is intellectual/political compatibility between heavy pot use and climate catastrophe paranoia – thus inclusion of Lizzy May at this 1%er soiree.

Just strap in and prepare yourself for the shock of just how easy it is for these airheads to trade Canada’s sovereignty away to the globalist 1% cartel. Personally he can sign all the agreements he wants with these pillaging globalist racketers but I refuse to pay any taxes to or accept any regulation from or render any compliance with any foreign pseudo-governing body I do not elect.

Paul Merrifield said, “It’s a tragedy that climate science wasn’t allowed to say; “proven””

What are you saying? The “climate change” scientists (and I use that word loosely) have been claiming that “the science is settled” for many years when in actual fact, the “science” contradicts facts and is far from being settled.

I think for the most part it’s not, “…that so many people just aren’t bright enough to understand the basics…”, rather, it’s the strength of the robot-programming, or indoctrination they have allowed themselves to be victimized with. I regularly ‘talk’ to otherwise intelligent people who have completely bought into the man-made global warming hoax programming – and will not question it! You can’t actually debate them on this topic because they have been programmed through their emotions, not their intellects, so the intellectual argument will not penetrate the armour of that indoctrination – they don’t want to know…and they’re not even hearing you at this point because you’re one of those climate change deniers!
I think it’s important for science -and mankind – to figure out why some people are so susceptible to the lefty/progressive robot programming and why others aren’t. Lyle Rossiter MD, the forensic psychiatrist discusses this at length in “THE LIBERAL MIND: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness”.
We’d better figure it out soon because liberalism is a mental disorder and it’s killing us…

Wasn’t aware that Elizabeth May was a past President of the Canadian Sierra Club. To see how intellectually bankrupt and fanatical these climate change alarmists are, watch this recent video of Ted Cruz demolishing the president of the massively-funded Sierra Club. In just under 10 minutes, he exposes the idiocy of the Sierra Club’s claims and their total rejection of uncomfortable facts:

The “gig economy” is getting bigger. Uber is one example of hundreds of apps for “on demand services”.

These socialists can team up and talk crap, but their tax base is disappearing. Overpaid government workers are going to be the only sizeable tax base left for socialist governments.

And the masses are figuring out that climate change is a scam – as more info gets disseminated.

So closet homosexual Trudeau and May can toddle off to Paris and make their tax grab plans – but if there’s much less to grab at, it could get interesting – Ontario should be the first to financially default.

He will make Suzuki happy by attacking the oil sands and likely applying carbon taxes on producers there. He will sign us onto some unreasonable commitment that a large flung out nation like ours cannot keep, and will absolve China once again of its duties.

It’s a tragedy that climate science wasn’t allowed to say; “proven” to end this debate as it would have prevented the last 34 years of denial and climate action failure and delay.

Can Obama order climate science to say “certain” or “proven” or “inevitable” before it’s too late to say it?
