Trudeau’s “cowardice” on full display in Jerusalem vote at UN

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

Justin Trudeau's political policy of cowardice was on full display at the United Nations as Canada's ambassador to the UN abstained from a General Assembly vote to nullify the American recognition of Jerusalem as the capital Israel.

The vote result was 128 to 9 in favour of rendering the American declaration null and void. Canada joined 35 other countries who couldn't do the right thing, the way the Americans have.

The UN thinks they have the authority to decide where a sovereign nation places its embassy and where another makes their capital.

Canada's Foreign Affairs Department issued a bland, noncommittal statement:

“We are disappointed that this resolution is one-sided and does not advance prospects for peace to which we aspire which is why we have abstained from today's vote.”

We are a country that has always punched above our weight, in ways and during times I think the liberal-left would love to write out of history.

But today we abandoned two of our closest allies— Israel and the United States— not in battle, but in a bureaucratic vote in the safety of an auditorium.

We've gone from Stephen Harper in 2014 promising Israel "through fire and water, Canada will stand with you" to Trudeau's "sorry bro, not today."

I remember watching a CNN interview with Tru-dope. I think it was that Zacharias GPS program where he asked Tru-dope about Canada’s foreign policy. Tru-dope’s response was classic liberalism clap-trap: "Well Zach, can I call you Zack, the really neat thing about Canada’s foreign policy is that it is all foreign to me. I much prefer watching General Hospital during “Question Period.”

I do not call it cowardice per se, I call it philosophically consistent. Since assuming power Trudeau has donated hundreds of millions to Islamic dictatorships, gives financial support to terrorist groups like Hamas and pays domestic terrorists off at 10 million dollars a pop. Trudeau consistently has acted like a treasonous Islamist and a globalist and thus by implication hostile to nationalism and Israeli nationalism in particular. There is no surprise here, if one has been paying attention.

Gee thanks SHEILA, as if I didn’t feel embarrassed and ashamed enough being a Canadian under Justin’s Liberal regime! Ya I know, don’t shoot the messenger.
Justin’s like The Teflon Don, commits crimes and atrocities and gets away with it. Gotti, well he had his ways of getting away with it – for a while – he ended up in Marion!… Justin’s got the entire Fake News Liars (MSM) protecting him and his foot-in-mouth disease, criminality, treason, etc., how can you fight that and win?
With the truth!? Today? LOL.

I remember how proud I felt as a Canadian hearing Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s speech at the Knesset, and here I’m Irish-Italian…

I wonder where Justin will end up…
Just look at the picture of an older selfie-king…

Attention Rebel website administrator:
Look at all the duplicate posts here – why is this happening?
For me it’s because after I “posted”, the page goes into what appears to be a processing churn, and incomplete execution, not completing the entry topost.
Then, the frustrated poster re-submits their message, again and again with no visible entry.
Please fix your website.

Ms. Reid says that Canada has always “punched above our weight”.

Debatable, if you ignore that time between now and WW 2, which is about half the time that Canada has existed as a country.

In the last quarter century alone, “punching above our weight” has included
- buying scrapped out obsolete submarines from the UK
- flying 50 year-old search and rescue helicopters because Liberals broke the contract to buy new ones, and the Conservative government did nothing to correct that dangerous situation, except drag the procurement process for a decade before taking action
- cancelling the plan to buy F-35s, like every other NATO nation, only to purchase Australian scrapped-out F-18s, the same obsolete jet that Canada is supposedly looking to replace.

Perhaps Ms. Reid is complimenting the quality of our meager soldier armed forces, which is fine, but Canada “punching above our weight”?

Where would that put the USA, whose armed forces are the only reason Canada stands as a free country, which spends 4% of their GDP keeping the free world safe, while Canada spends less than 1$ of our GDP?

No, Ms. Reid, Canada punches below its weight using every practical metric available., including investment in our military.

Since Trump’s announcement about the embassy, I have had to endure the rantings of many, many liberals who parrot the same TDS induced diatribes making Trump out to be the big bad boogeyman in all of this. I got really sick of it, so developed a new tactic. Among the ones who were informed enough to correctly answer my questions, the conversation goes much like this each and every time:

ME: Changing the subject slightly, where is Congress and the vast majority of the important bureaucratic offices located?
MY VICTIM: Washington.
ME: And where are the foreign embassies who have to deal with those bureaucracies and lobby Congress situated?
MY VICTIM: Washington.
ME: And where is the Canadian Parliament and the vast majority of Canada’s major bureaucratic offices located?
MY VICTIM:Ottawa.
ME: And where are the embassies to Canada, who have to deal with those bureaucracies and lobby Parliament, located?
MY VICTIM: Ottawa.
ME: Where is the British Parliament, and the vast majority of the important British bureaucracies?
MY VICTIM: London.
ME: Where would you find the foreign embassies to Britain who have to lobby Parliament and deal with their bureaucracies?
MY VICTIM: London.
ME: Do you know where the Knesset sits, and where the vast majority of Israeli bureaucratic offices are found?
MY VICTIM: Jerusalem…. oh… uh… uhhhhhh…..

Some of them have even been smart enough to see where I am going with this part way through the conversation, and immediately jump to the last part of the last line above. It is really funny watching them go through mental gymnastics to try to regain their cognitive dissonance. I’ve seen blank looks, facial contortions, and in one case even breaking out in a sweat. It’s kept me quite entertained since I adopted this approach.

Trudeau, the spineless piece of crap, gives the finger to Israel, and our best neighbor and trading partner, for fear of offending his beloved Islamic brothers. I hope the U.S. sees his abstention for exactly what it is, “no” vote. Kudos to Nikki Haley & America for doing the right and just thing.
Merry Christmas & Happy Hanukkah.

Poor Justin, it’s been a tough couple of months looking like a clueless fool in the International media. I’m betting on a new promo campaign in the new year featuring Trudeau in his Lululemon yoga tights and floormat selfie’s with his fauning groupies. Then all the media chatter will be about the midyear legalization of weed. The sandbox drama continues.

Trudeau Jr. has always struck me as way too soft and weak for a leader.

He is not even a Beta male. Omega male is more of an accurate description of him.

Anyway, I seriously doubt weak chaps like him would become a leader of a nation if not for his daddy.

He can continue to pretend that he is a yoga master to get the female votes.

But the fact remains that much is yet to be done to improve the lot of the average Canadian.

The economy has under-performed for decades, yet nothing concrete has been done to fix that. Rogue companies like Rogers have basically been given the license to rip off Canadian people at will without meaningful regulatory oversight.

He is not only a weak leader but one that foolishly plays the flute while Rome burns and while he’s prancing around with his feminine yoga nonsense.

Weak chap, Trudeau Jr.
