Trudeau’s employee discount tax will punish working poor

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

Justin Trudeau's Liberals want to take a bite out of your discounted staff meal.

The latest copy of the federal government's tax folio says that as of January 1, 2018, the value of an employee discount gets added back into an employees income, so it can be taxed.

Normally, the government taxes you for doing one of two things: earning and spending.

This time, retail and restaurant workers — the working poor — are going to be taxed on the value of money they didn't spend.

But this tax grab isn't just about the employees, many of them the very young people that Trudeau campaigned on helping. This is also another attack on Canada's entrepreneurial class by Justin Trudeau.

Some companies will eliminate employee discounts rather than deal with the paperwork nightmare.

But that's Trudeau and Bill Morneau, so silver spooned and pampered that they think people working their way through university are a bunch of burger flipping tax cheats.

Recanted? The Fake News Media is already running interference claiming the CRA is doing this! The CRA is but a Federal Agency. The orders come from the Gov’t.
MANY who voted for Jihadi Justin are going to be affected by this. Maybe now they won’t be swayed by hair and socks, although, somehow I doubt it. You can’t fix stupid!

I heard a rumour that he recanted on his latest tax scheme… I believe it hit the wrong group of people and that would be the ones that voted him in. If it wasn’t so painful it would be interesting to see how the next two years would play out..!!

A huge number of them voted for that POS now running the country – so they get what they deserve.

Let’s see if this smartens them up.

I bet it does not.

Don’t be surprised to hear Trudeau & Morneau are now trying to figure out a way to tax children, their allowance; birthday money; tooth fairy cash; Christmas gifts – the value of what’s under the tree with the child’s name on it! Lemonade stands will be looked at more closely, these kids are tax cheats according the Liberals!

For the adults, Liberals will implement garage sale taxes, some bureaucrat will comb community events sections of the local press to find out who is having a sale!

Warren Zoell, yep, Trudeau’s essay induces the urge to vomit; you were right!

I am thoroughly enjoying this reality drama. Hopefully many of the University students who voted for Trudeau 2 years ago have completed their useless, gender or social studies degrees and are now waiting tables and serving espressos. It will be a feeding frenzy for CRA auditors. This is what Stupid looks like.

Simple. It will be “implied income” as the CRA frequently does with those who serve as waiters, waitresses, or bellhops. They assign an amount they claim the employee “must have” made in tips and tax that amount.

“Screwing the Middle Class and those working hard to join them” There. I’ve translated what Jihadi Justin really says when he blathers on about the Middle Class.

Warren Zoell – would that be “white” masculinity he’s referring to?

Watching this government operate, no matter what they do – is like suffering through an episode of ‘Friends.’ Can’t wait for the one where Phoebe finally sleeps with Chad.

This should make you vomit.

Why I’m Raising My Kids to Be Feminists

In an exclusive essay for MarieClaire.com, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau opens up about wanting his sons to “escape the pressure to be a particular kind of masculine that is so damaging to men and to the people around them.”

Liberalism is a form of cancer and should be treated as such.

If you voted for the lieberals you are simply getting what the rest of us knew would happen.

If you did not then your friends and family did – time to educate them.

Bravo Zulu I used to tell my students, " I can teach you but I can’t learn you". I think you’ll find a certain level of unwillingness to earn among the Liberal voters. Not that the attempt isn’t worthwhile but I have a low level of expectation.

You can’t blame poor Trudeau (and poor Morneau). Care and feeding of wave after wave of phoney refugees can really add up. Watch for an increase in your provincial and municipal taxes as well.

I too have tried to speak logic to my family and friends who think little junior actually knows what he’s doing. They don’t even want to hear the truth that our government hates us, and intends on controlling us, and that by their grotesque actions they are ensuring that our freedoms and democracy will most certainly be destroyed. I’ve decided to save my breath and let reality take its course. When they no longer have a job, or a place to live, and can no longer feed or cloth their families, then reality will set in. And I will be there to say, this is what you voted for under that globalist fool on the hill.

Liza has a good point. Don’t waste your energy trying to convince your friends and family who voted for this nut. Lord knows I’ve tried as well. Are you prepared because it just has to get much worse. When people realize that handing billions of their money to the UN, obstructing domestic enterprise and attending silly pride parades is not how to run a Country, things might change.

Hey everyone,
I just got the heads up from a buddy who works for the Canadian Revenue Agency (Canadian Rip-off Agency).
It seems that they have determined that the average Canadian breathes at the rate of 25 breaths per minute while at rest.
This means that the average citizen will take 36,000 breaths in one day or 13,140,000 breaths in a year.
Of course, athletes would breathe more often and thus a sliding scale will be used to determine the number of breaths per year for each type of athlete.
The liberals are planning on introducing a new tax based on the number of breaths people take and are working in conjunction with Silicon Valley to develop an implantable microchip to count the breaths a person takes.
The base tax rate will be 1 cent per breath. Thus, the average citizen will be paying $131,400 in the breath tax.
This is a good plan!
It will force people to take fewer breaths and thus reduce their exposure to polluted air all the while reducing the amount of carbon dioxide being exhaled by each and every citizen.
This plan is great for the citizens and their health, the environment and most of all for the Liberals.
The Canadian Imam Justine Bin Trudeau will be rolling this tax reform out early in the new year.
My source has also confirmed that there are already plans to tax those foolish citizens who die simply to avoid paying this really progressive tax.

Ah c’mon people!
Give his holiness the Canadian imam, Justine Bin Trudeau, some slack why don’t you?
Do you not realize how much debt he has incurred in helping to feed all the islanimals he brought to this country?
Where the hell do you think he’s going to get the money for his pet Muslim Omar?
We’re rich and we can afford it.
Keep in mind who we need to vote for next time around. Oh, by then he will have modified the election rules and the same thieves will be re-elected.
I guess we’re done like yesterday’s toast.

@ Bravo Zulu, "If you voted for the lieberals you are simply getting what the rest of us knew would happen.

Easier said than done. It seems to be some sort of brain virus, definitely a disorder of some kind. I am starting to write people off. I just can’t listen to their nonsense and if you try to counter any of it you are told you are upsetting them. I’m feeling like Peter these days. It is all just too disheartening. But maybe if Justin and his wrecking crew do enough damage there could be hope that they get chased out.

Carol… I’m not exactly pleased with the new tax and I’m no where’s near a millennial. I have a family member that works in the hardware store for somewhere around the $15 an hour that notley wants to make min wage and being a family member I received a discount on almost everything from that store… I could actually afford to rebuild my deck when it rotted out.. I could purchase items for around the home at a discount as well… Now some people are going to say well you had it too good for too long and it’s about time that your gravy train ended but that only serves as an example to how this liberal government has us enjoying criticizing each other and fighting amongst ourselves over scraps. When are we going to learn that each and every tax that is stripping away money from us without our consent is theft.. Imagine if the people had the same power as the government to tell them, We the people think we’re going to reduce our taxes for the 2018 to 2023 fiscal period because we find there is not enough money in our family budgets to feed ourselves pay mortgages and educate our children while allowing you to pursue your personal interests disguised as what’s good for the country… Furthermore we will reconsider an increase to you the government only when the financial calamity that we are suffering begins to abate and we have an excess of cash once again. Until that time we regret to inform you that no more money will be coming your way.!! Please make do with what you have at this time.

Imagine a world like that.!!

Unless the same discount is offered to the public at some point during the year? Does this mean that if the employer offers their customers the same discount for a day, or maybe an hour, on what is normally their slowest day, once a year, the discount is not a taxable benefit?

Does he have anything planned for pensioners? ie. old age security?

I don’t get this! Doesn’t he realize the young liberal who voted for him will catch on once they’re nailed by Revenue Canada? Surely these liberal supportrs will make the connection: Revenue Canada=Federal Govt=Liberal Party=Justin=vote.
