Trudeau's Mexican folly, why the big water bombers aren't at Fort Mac and more

Brian LilleyArchive

Lifting visas on Mexican visitors will cost millions and bring a flood of bogus refugees to Canada.

Brian talks with Conservative MP Michelle Rempel and takes your calls.

PLUS Sheila Gunn Reid joins me to talk about why water bombers were sitting idle for Fort McMurray wildfire; Michele Austin, Senior Advisor at Summa Strategies Inc., and my favourite socialist, Rick Smith, Executive Director at the Broadbent Institute.

More trash will head our way – however at least MOST of them will be willing to work once they get off the dole.

Canada is rapidly going down the tubes.

Canadians as a whole will not even pretend to pay attention to this one.

How typical.

Americans have been dealing with Mexican migrants for decades now and it’s got them so riled up that large numbers are ready to vote for the likes of Donald Trump, the incoherent demagogue, just to limit the influx. Although the “official” number of Hispanic illegals – including Mexico and the rest of Central and South America – is around 11 million, others say that the true numbers simply aren’t known but may be as many as 30 or 40 million. Do we really want to open the doors to the same problems as the Americans have?

That is not to say that all Mexicans/Hispanics are a problem. I understand that many are quiet, hardworking people. However, there have been many many issues with substantial numbers of Hispanics refusing to assimilate in the once-traditional way. Read the columns of Victor Davis Hanson, a lifelong Californian and academic who often cites the problems in his own area and on his own rural property.

We should think very carefully before changing the policies with regards to migrants from ANY country, especially loosening them.
