During the election, Justin Trudeau and the Liberals said they would do away with Bill C-24, the bill that allows the government to strip dual citizens of their Canadian citizenship for those who take up arms against Canada or commit acts of terrorism.
Other than offering highly emotional catch phrases ("A Canadian is a Canadian is a Canadian") devoid of any facts, it wasn't clear on what basis Trudeau and the Liberals objected to the law, especially strange considering that his own father's Liberals set the standard for how it could be done. Bill C-24 simply expanded the criteria given new threats the West faces in the modern world.
The Liberals formulated the idea and used it in cases of old Nazi war criminals who had lied on their paperwork and Justin's prepared to continue that fight but ignore the new one in front of him -- one that involves potentially deadly acts of terrorism?
