Trump's political fate hinges on building the wall

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, Joel Pollak of Breitbart joined me to discuss Trump's national address on border security and the stakes he's facing in the ongoing government shutdown.

Influential Trump supporters like Ann Coulter have warned the President that his base will abandon him and the Democrats will win if he fails to deliver on his signature campaign promise, building the Mexican border wall.

WATCH my interview with Joel Pollak to hear his assessment of Trump's bargaining position and why Congressional Republicans are uniting behind the President.

So Nick, I take it you are the one going to make the hammer fall? Sure sounds like a threat. Maybe the hate police should investigate? They did with Dan Manusco’s benign statements.

How would you know if I post on multiple threads? You must spend time here reading them. So that would make you a Rebel Frequent Flier. Pot calling the kettle black. You make it so easy.

Al Peterson,

You post in multiple threads constantly. I post here and there in one or two random threads in some cases with weeks going by with no posts at all. You are one of the most frequent posters here, because you need The Rebel to tell you what you think and say.

Don’t worry, the hammer will fall on you this weekend. I want to get it over with finally, so that I will constantly be able to refer to it when it comes to you.

Nostradamus, why do you keep believeing and regurgitating lies?

Sorry, I have a life and don’t live in here like you do. The hammer will drop over the weekend.

You spend a lot more time here than I do.

Don’t you ever get tired of being wrong? For the whole word to see? You’ve repeated this hammer thingy so often (This weekend. Definitely Monday, etc, ad nauseum) that I’m wondering if you’ve become a Buddhist.

Al Peterson,

LOL. The evidence shows that the Dems officially took over the house on January 3rd. Not in November as you and Peter seem to think.

I never said I did, Sherlock. Must be confusing me with a different figment of your imagination, Nostradamus. Sayyyyy about that… Did the hammer Fall?

Why didn’t the Congressional Republicans unite behind him when they actually had the power to do something with it?

A good question. I’ve asked it or a variation of it many times. Why wait until after mid terms when traditionally the house swings away?

Al Peterson,

Many people supported countless things in the past, but logic and reason eventually prevailed and they changed their mind on the issue. Not in all cases though, an idiot on this board still thinks the Earth is flat.

It is completely moronic, ultimately useless and a waste of money to build a wall, which will cost WAY more than the 5 billion Trump wants.

Again, Republicans could have financed the wall before January of THIS YEAR when the Dems officially took over the house and they did fuck all. Trump doesn’t give a shit about the wall – this is all about getting re-elected by ensuring that he kept his promise and try to make Dems look bad in the process.

Sorry, I have a life and don’t live in here like you do. The hammer will drop over the weekend.

George,

Peter and Al don’t care about facts. They believe whatever The Rebel tells them.

Yeah, right. I believe what the evidence shows as opposed to Nostradamus’s desire which is that we believe whatever he tells us since it’s the voice of a god and not of a man.

Open question: Why do lefties want to believe and disseminate lies?
commented 2019-01-11 17:08:59 -0500
The Democrats did it, Nostradamus. They could fund the wall for national security which Schumer is on record supporting in the past but now that it is Trumps passion the old syndrome kicks in and he’s against it.

Here it is as a fact with documentary evidence;

Hey , Nostradamus, you mean facts like “THE HAMMER COMING DOWN”? Did I miss it? Again? This is rich from the guy who rarely gives documentary evidence for what he claims. But then why bother when you have a god complex?

People very likely living paycheck to paycheck have just gotten a stub that says “$0,” they need to figure out how to pay bills, like, now, since there is no end in sight.

A billionaire said he’s proud to have done this. What a bunch of bullshit. These workers will remember this in 2020.
commented 2019-01-11 11:57:33 -0500
It’s a shame trump had to hang all his credibility on building a wall. The Opposition will stall and deflect until 2020, and if Coulter’s right,Trump will lose the WH.

George,

It’s laughable that Peter thought that Democrats had the house in November, but he’s fucking clueless that way all the time.
commented 2019-01-10 22:23:55 -0500
Peter, Al, – the Democrats took over the house on 3 January 2019 on the first day the newly elected representatives were sworn in. Saying they came to power in November would be like saying Trump came to power in November 2016, 2 months before he was inaugurated and sworn in as President.. Just the facts, sir!

I think it would be cheaper to issue identity cards with chips in them. Then legislate that nobody can be employed or get government help UNLESS they have that card as proof of citizenship or application for such.
commented 2019-01-10 20:17:55 -0500
Peter. why quibble about things like facts? Mr-Babies-Are-Parasites wants to believe lies. Not sure why but there you have it.

Andrew said, “Remember, the current shutdown began before the Dems gained the House.”

Wrong.

Democrats took control of the House on November 6, 2018.
Current government shutdown began at midnight EST on Saturday, December 22nd

The Dems are going to fold like a cheap suit.

45’s tantrum and instant turnaround after Ann Coulter said mean things about him sure is something to behold. Tells you who actually has the balls in that relationship.

Why didn’t the Congressional Republicans unite behind him when they actually had the power to do something with it? Remember, the current shutdown began before the Dems gained the House.

I figure it’ll go the other way – the shutdown will drag on until the Senate starts to worry about tax refunds and SNAP not going out… and then override Trump. Finding 18 GOP senators to invoke a veto override is a long shot… now. But that may change.
