Trump's Jerusalem decision has liberal mainstream media outraged

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's show, I reported on the media's reaction to President Trump's decision to move the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and recognize the city as the capital of Israel

Trump, like many of his predecessors, made moving the embassy to Jerusalem a campaign pledge. But unlike past Presidents, Trump is taking action to keep his promise. Trump has recognized the fact that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the Jewish people and his move is an act of defiance to both Islamists and the liberal mainstream media.

Outlets like NBC, CNN, and the Guardian claimed Trump's decision will shut down peace talks, start wars, and plunge the Middle East into "fire with no end". But the peace talks have proven to be fruitless, and Arab leaders appear less outraged than the left-wing media.

Trump is keeping a pledge he made to the American people, proving he's a great friend of Israel, and showing Arab dictators he's not weak like Obama

Andrew, did you watch the video? I noticed you didn’t comment on it. Didn’t fit your narrative, I take it?

Why not move to where you can make a difference Andrew? We could crowd fund your ticket.

Wrong Andrew, try reading some history.

Andrew, why did it become disputed land???? Need a hint?”

Lack of respect for the pre-exsiting citizens that lived there before they decided they wanted land they ceased to own thousands of years ago back?

Andrew

You’re clearly not a logical thinker. In your first paragraph you say that “They have very clearly demarked territory and an established border” and then go on to talk about ‘disputed land”. You can’t have it both ways. If the land is disputed then the borders are not clearly demarked."
The West Bank lies outside those boundaries, but they are squatting on it anyway.

“In your second paragraph you suggest that it is possible for Israel and Palestine to coexist peacefully. That is a logical fallacy. Palestine, as an Islamic state CANNOT coexist peacefully with Israel. Islam is a supremacist ideology and must be in total control. No part of the palestinian governments has EVER said they would recognize the Jewish State of Israel.”

Your own argument is a strawman. The Palestinians have given no indication of wanting the entirety of Israel back, but merely to have jurisdiction over their own territory.

“Jerusalem is fully Jewish territory. It was taken in a defensive war brought against Israel by its Islamic neighbours and as such is conquered territory and under international law, part of the Jewish State. "

Jerusalem is split down the middle. Half is Israeli and half is Palestinian. The Israelis want the whole thing, but most residents are Palestinian and not respected by Israel, which is why they want their own state. "

“You then go on to say that “It’s very much the only one which receives such preferential treatment.” What preferential treatment? Can you give some examples of what you have in mind? "

The amount of effort the apologists put into it, for example, and into rationalizing their poor treatment of the people who have taken up residence in the region in the intervening millennia.

All knowing Andrew, it is clear on Israel, you don’t know so much. It is the left, as in you and all the other leftist regressive fucktsrds, that are obsessed with Israel and the Jews. It is not the normal thinking people on the right, we know a witch hunt when we see one.

News flash Lennard. Although Israel is not located in the west, it is and always has been considered a part of the ‘west’ because of culture, predominant religions and democracy. It is part of the free world and so a part of us . It does actually matter.
Trump sent a message. If it was an insignificant one you would not be hearing so much such shrieking and outrage.

Who the F&^K cares? The Israeli Gov is all stationed in J-town. What did Trump change? Travel and per-diem fee reductions from TA to J-town? Look: Since the hebes got the bomb, the mohammedans are f*%ed! I don’t give a rat’s ass about ANY non-westerner. Feck them all!

Jerusalem is fully Jewish territory. It was taken in a defensive war brought against Israel by its Islamic neighbours and as such is conquered territory and under international law, part of the Jewish State.

Jerusalem is the capitol of Israel. The Jewish parliament is in Jerusalem, the Supreme Court is in Jerusalem, most of the government offices are in Jerusalem. They only have operations because so much of the world is against Israel and have placed their embassies in Tel Aviv so as to appease the Muslims.

Now, to your last paragraph. You state “it’s hardly the only country which operates under such circumstances”. REALLY? Can you name one other sovereign state that is forced to operate under the same conditions? The rest of the world refusing to recognize its long standing capitol as its capitol? Being the constant target of missile barrages and terrorist attacks from its neighbouring countries?

You then go on to say that “It’s very much the only one which receives such preferential treatment.” What preferential treatment? Can you give some examples of what you have in mind? Perhaps you are thinking that all the mentions to Israel in the UN (always to condemn Israel in some way) are preferential treatment. Perhaps it’s all the press time they get as the media covers all the BDS rallies. I’m really puzzled as to what it could be.

Theyr’e entitled to borders. They’re not entitled to build settlements beyond those borders. They have very clearly demarcated territory and an established border, which they do not themselves respect. Squatting on disputed land is very much an act of hostility.

They were quietly moving towards a two-state solution, which would allow both Israel and the various piece of Palestine to coexist peacefully. Jerusalem itself is only partly Jewish territory, and that’s fine. It’s even the nominal capital of the country, though for practical reasons it operates out of Tel Aviv. This seems to have mostly worked without causing too many problems.

Israel may be the only democracy in the region, but it’s hardly the only country which operates under such circumstances. It’s very much the only one which receives such preferential treatment.

“I still don’t understand the bizarre obsession the Right has with Israel anyway.”

Let me spell it out for you Andrew. Aside from the fact that Israel is the only democratic, civilized, non Islamic country in the Middle East, it is our ally. It has a right to its sovereignty and to defend its borders, people and way of life. They are our friends and partners in the war against the caliphate. That this short term government in Canada has flipped over to the side of the attackers instead of standing with Israel and standing with Canada and its own people is but a blip. A very detrimental and discouraging situation, but a blip non the less. Canada will also find its balls again and defend itself and its people. We must demand respect for ourselves and our country, and so with Israel. We have to stand together. All civilized countries must stand together against , the caliphate, the Islamization of the free world.

It is just not on.

You can’t make an omelet without breaking some eggs. It is about time that pimple was popped. You can’t keep doing the same ‘no’ thing over and over. Time for a different approach and Trump took one. It is an obvious one, because the fact is that bullies, even ones who use victim hood as a weapon, respect push back. Nobody, especially Islam respects weakness. I’m encouraged by Trumps proactive moves. As far as comments like this, “His virtue signaling has essentially started a war” or the ones provided by Andrew below, nothing could be more untrue. The war has been ongoing, the enemy has been controlling the narrative. It is time to gain control, and that is what Trump is doing. This act was a show of strength, to signal that there will be no more submission to the bulling. There is a new sheriff in town. What ever retaliation as a result, will be met with double the force. It isn’t like it can’t be done. It is just that no ‘leaders’ have done it. Fasten your seat belt. Live and learn.

No, I don’t think it’s worth war, but it’s likely to cause one whether or not you or I approve. The entire reason why most of the world is non-committal on the matter is to avoid throwing matches at a powder keg.

I still don’t understand the bizarre obsession the Right has with Israel anyway. It’s just a country in an unfortunately troubled part of the world, and unfortunately many of their problems are self-inflicted.

The United States recognized the wish of a country to designate a city within their borders as their capital, after living there for 3000 years. Outrageous! :-))) Leftist heads are exploding and their friends are rioting. I like Trump a little more every day.

Andrew if you mean the clash of civilizations that has been going on for years now you have an out on who to blame and as usual with the left you never start at chapter one.

MSM of course will try to convince the world its Armageddon (because they must feed their Trump Derangement Syndrome).
