Two illegal aliens are suing Donald Trump's federal government demanding that they be given government-funded abortions.
Western Journalism reported that the two illegal aliens, referred to as Jane Poe and Jane Roe in court documents, are 10 and 22 weeks pregnant respectively. The two teenagers are in custody, and their lawyers are claiming that it is unconstitutional to prevent the illegal immigrants from getting abortions, saying it takes away their right about whether they want to become parents. Forget the fact that 22 weeks would already be considered a late term abortion as a fetus at this stage can survive outside the womb (with proper medical assistance of course).
“We’ve already stopped the Trump administration from blocking one young woman’s abortion,” Brigitte Amiri, a senior ACLU staff attorney, said in a statement. “It’s unreal that the federal government is trying to force more young women to continue their pregnancies against their will.”
That's not exactly how we would describe what Trump's government is doing. Instead, we'd say he's trying to ensure that taxpayers will not be forced to fund abortions for anyone, let alone illegal aliens.
It is crucial that we incentivize people to come to the U.S. legally, and paying for abortions for illegal immigrants just incentivizes this process.
