U.S. grants Keystone XL permit: “Dirty hippies” no match for President Trump

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

The Keystone XL pipeline has just been granted a permit by President Donald Trump, keeping a promise he made to Americans on the campaign trail.

The $8B construction project by TransCanada, will take Alberta oil from a tank farm in Hardisty to refineries and ports in the Gulf of Mexico.

Now, the same old destructive left wing protesters are vowing to block thousands of much needed Canadian and American jobs. Environmental activist groups are promising to put up a big fight using unresolved legal issues around Keystone XL in Nebraska as a launching point for their battle.

Good. Bring it on, hippies. Let’s get this fight over with.

I’ve had it with them and I’ve had it with the litany of politicians who entertain their BS, but in President Trump, environmentalists are finally facing an adversary that will fight them to win.

Trump beat the Democrat-Media complex and the Republican establishment to win the presidency. Some anemic, low energy protesters in makeshift tents are not going stop him from bringing jobs back to America’s heartland.

Trump could actually be the president that finally renders the radical left completely ineffective.

I was skeptical of Trump in the primaries. I supported him though, because he wasn’t that evil, corrupt crone Hillary Clinton.

But if Trump ends the plague of left wing kooks who keep us from having nice things like pipelines and jobs, then I’m on Team Trump.

Leviticus 2013—notice I said "when soldiers are attacked. " Self defence is still allowed in Canada; maybe Trudeau will eliminate it next year.

We may not agree with the protesters but the pendulum for freedom of speech swings both ways.!!

RON JOSEPH commented: “I agree with most people here; let the Police or Soldiers get physical with out of control protesters. The problem is many protesters are women who think authorities aren’t even allowed to touch their shoulders let alone hurt them. CBC and CTV would run it for a month if a Policeman hurt a female protester. The answer is have female soldiers and policewomen when attacked, break the female protesters jaw with a club or rifle butt.”

I agree. Properly trained female soldiers/police officers are just as proficient as their male counterparts without the stigma the lugenpresse would impose on males.

This would solve most of the present day problems with protesters and it would be great to see these paid protesters and dirty hippies get what they deserve. (Example Burnaby Mountain Kinder-Morgan Pipeline protest.)

Those leftists are going to get in the way of the pipeline again.

Chris refineries need pipelines , and refined product has a short shelf life and refining is break even at best.

Drew.. We disagree..
There’s huge profit in refining… I have spent 35 years in refineries and upgraders… I have sat on the boards when turnovers and takeovers have taken place.. I have read letters from the CEOs addressed to the shareholders explaining quarterly profits.
I have been privy to meetings that have held not withstanding gag orders to the public.
If there was no money in it they could not pay the wages that they do all the way from management to NPP to operations to hired craft contractors.
If your refinery doesn’t make money look to your management team not the market.!!
Personally I would prefer to see upgraded oil ship south as opposed to rub that human and provide a few more jobs for Canadians… As well the refinery in each province to cover the needs of that provinces energy requirements and of course the pipeline from here to the Atlantic provinces to cut out Trudeau’s kickback from Middle East conflict oil.

PETER NETTERVILLE suggested: “I’m jealous. Why does the US get to have Trump when we can’t!! I wonder if Western Canada can secede from Canada and join the US.”

A separate Western Canada would be freed from the bonds of the Laurentian elite and their useless Soros funded leftist morons. A prosperous alliance with the U.S. would be possible leading to jobs for anyone wishing to pursue one. It is a large market, and culturally we have much more in common with U.S. citizens than with the Islamist “economic refugees” Trudope is importing for votes and destabilization. It is becoming more evident each day Jihadi Justin only wishes to screw over the population and promote his Islamist agenda!
commented 2017-03-25 17:31:51 -0400
What a contrast! Trump keeps another promise made to the American People and Jihadi Justin moves to stifle free speech for the Canadian People!

At Liza: Then the true Canadian’s should protest against the fake Canadian’s…President Trump is plowing the road the best he can..we gotta give him some help..trudeau and his gangsters are not going to help Canadians.

Trudeau knows our leg of it will still be held up for years.

I so admire how Donald Trump put the protestors in their place. The pipelines Canada needs to get our oil & gas to market will benefit all of Canada. Canada is broke, we need money, we need healthcare, we need many things. A lot of our financial woes will be fixed if we can get Canada back in business again. Oh, and I guess we also need to stop our giving the money we do have to other nations while our own go without.
commented 2017-03-25 09:49:51 -0400
Simple fix. If the paid thugs and professional agitators block the tracks, run the train right through them. Guaranteed they won’t be back the next day.

A very “telling” moment in North American energy self-sufficiency in the coming years… The Boy Blunder in Ottawa had to accommodate the inevitable development of the Keystone XL… His green fantasy objections to LNG traffic on the West Coast is next going to come under fire as the economic differences between Canada and the USA come into very sharp focus in the coming eight years… As they will!… The most outstanding INSANITY is the Laurentian Elites’ trying to stymie a pipeline from Western Canada to the St. John, N.B…. Ships carrying crude from the Middle East continue to tie up at Irving Oil’s sea terminals while oil stays in the ground in B.C., Alberta and Saskatchewan… Is that NUTS or is that NUTS !?!…
commented 2017-03-25 00:29:50 -0400
Just a waggish thought…so unusual for me …I know….but will the police who enforce the eminent domain for this project come to be known as “the Keystone Cops”……I refuse to let the leftist media have that without a copyright fight….you all have witnessed I said it first and I intend to make a legal fuss if Michael Moore tries to plagerize it….:-)
commented 2017-03-24 23:32:17 -0400
Bill Elder-spot on. And this is what the media and politicians keep missing. The funders (Soros,et al) need to be eradicated.
Slackers who don’t want jobs have no right to protest against jobs other people want.

Arrest them and execute them for treason…..as was done with the odious Rosenburgs in the l950s.

They aren’t “dirty hippies” Sheila – they’re networked and funded 5th column neo-Bolsheviks. THeir agenda is to disrupt/destabilize the nation and jeopardize our economic/energy independence. They should be jailed or shot if they use illegal force or sabotage on these vital public projects. Our energy infrastructure is a key part of national security – those aligned against its destruction are treasonous degenerates.

Chris said, “Pipelines are better than trains. More refineries are better than pipelines.”

Not really. How do you plan to ship the multiple products made from the crude oil?
commented 2017-03-24 19:04:37 -0400
The oil will flow as will Marxist blood.
commented 2017-03-24 18:54:08 -0400
Great report Sheila. Hippies don’t stand a chance against Trump!
commented 2017-03-24 18:39:34 -0400
But Chris,

You still need pipelines to transport the products of refineries. A refinery is only going to produce if it can sell its product, and it cannot do that without transport.
commented 2017-03-24 18:39:05 -0400
Chris :L Your argument makes no sense. I’m sure if you think about it for a second you will see that.

The handlers and paymasters of both Notley and Baby Doc will come up with some reason to delay on the Canadian side. My bet will be that the excuse will be approval for the Canadian portion was given during the conservative governments of both A libertarian and Canada, therefore will be deemed not stringent enough environmentally.

Both current governments exist to abuse power over the welfare of of the constituents.

Side note, I wonder if the invisible energy minister will be allowed out in public to comment on this?

Even as the President of a foreign country, Trump is creating more jobs in Alberta than Notley and Trudeau combined.

Gotta love Trump! Can we have one too? I want a Trump too!
