Why new UK porn law won’t protect children

Jack BuckbyRebel Contributor

The move has been talked about for a while, but the legislation is finally moving forward and could be enacted within a month.

It’s a measure designed to protect children, but I’m curious as to whether that’s the case.

In reality, young people are going to be able to access pornography offline. A report proved that, in fact!

So how much more useful is this new online filter, and is it worth it given the potential dangers? The possibility of hackers accessing individual viewing habits of users, based on the ID they use to verify their age, shows huge potential for blackmail.

Is it really worth it?

After listening to this, and thinking it was pointless, it became clear. This has little to do with porn, our children. It is a test run to see if this type of control works, if it does, then what’s next “Islamophobic” sites, “Alt-Right” sites, Gun sites, Christian Sites anything the government wants to control on the net will need this code. This has far more potential for censorship, than at first glance. I sooooo hope I am wrong.

Tina K. I remember open line radio shows, a few wanting the magazines censored or banned as their little Johnny might see them.
The majority won, using the argument, “Why should everyone be censored because a few parents can’t take care of their spoiled brats?”

Although I live in Canada, going back to the 70’s, our leaders never cared enough about our children having access to pornography, when “7-11” (the corner grocery store) illegally began displaying “Playboy” magazines on their shelves. Any attempt then to get the RCMP (our law enforcement) to lay criminal charges was futile.

Legal Porn for children to see. This will just make Islamic Grooming legal.
Is this British law or garbage from the EU? Perhaps Islamic appeasement.

Oh to be in England now that spring is here.
