British children are being taught how to treat stab wounds in classes at school. These classes are being arranged by a special charity designed to help children stay safe, so I won’t attack those organising them.
I would, however, like to ask how we managed to get here?
I remember when I was in school, every year a man would come and show us photographs he took of marine biology. We’d have visits from the local pastors. These were special events we looked forward to.
We’d never even heard of stabbings on the streets.
So, I think it’s time we start talking about the source of the problem – and I agree with Met police chief Cressida Dick. It’s time middle class drug users own up to their part in this problem.
