UK: Police launch 75th London murder inquiry this year

Jack BuckbyRebel Contributor

The police have launched the 75th London murder inquiry this year. Will this ever end?

Surely at this point, mayor Sadiq Khan spends his nights rocking back and forth and wondering what has gone wrong. Well, maybe not. That’s what a sane person would do. It seems like Sadiq Khan isn’t too troubled about it all.

A 50-year-old woman was tragically killed in Dagenham, and found with multiple injuries. This is another example of London’s multicultural boroughs being real success stories for cohesion...

Allan Peterson….Good work, 15 for Edmonton, 75 for London, of course it changes every few hours.
William Kay….Where do you get your numbers. I think that you just hate The Rebel being correct.

“Hey All,
I’ve heard the term “Murder Capital” thrown around on the news. It made me curious about how bad the crime rates in Edmonton are. I wound up comparing the crime rate in Edmonton to other cities around the world. It is easiest to compare the murder rate with other cities for various reasons. I thought I would share the information here. This is a ‘per capita’ comparison so the number of deaths per 100,000 population.
Comparison Homicides per capita
Edmonton 3.1
US Cities
Anaheim 4.4
New York 5.5 Houston 10.0
Chicago 18.5 Baltimore 34.9 New Orleans 53.2 Detroit 54.6
Top 5 most Violent cities in the world per capita -
Distrito Central Honduras 99.69 Acapulco Mexico 127.92 Maceió Brazil 135.26 Juarez Mexico 147.7 San Pedro Sula Hondura 169.30
All in all Edmonton would have a similar murder rate as the cities in the US that are on the low end of scale. Obviously Detroit is way up there and has a bad reputation because of that. If Edmonton has a comparatively bad crime rate in Canada it is because the rest of Canada has an over all low crime rate – especially when compared to our American neighbors."

London rates are very difficult to find. They tend to give numbers of murders rather than actual rates. I guess it could be calculated but it would be better to use an authoritative source.

“The urban population of Edmonton is estimated at 980,000. The Edmonton census metropolitan area (CMA) has a population estimated at 1.8 million, of which 70% live in the city proper. This is the 6th largest CMA by population in Canada.”

Why do lefties like Andrew Stephenson et al keep comparing London to Edmonton? Weird. Must have been some directive came down at the last meeting.

William Kay….the big story here last month was that London passed New York City, as the Murder Capital of the Western World.
Do you have a link showing Edmonton’s murder rate is double that of London?

A new low for The Rebel. London’s homicide rate was substantially HIGHER in the 1990s than present. London’s homicide rate is currently half that of Edmonton Alberta. London’s homicide rate is ONE THIRTIETH that of Saint Louis, Mo. There is no story; just a raving innumerate twirp.

Jack Buckby….You thanked the Conservatives for the Islamic mess they allowed, but what about Tony Blair, the Labor PM, and also called the King of Multiculturalism who started this mess.
