UK: There IS room for a new centrist party — but no one agrees on what “centrist” means

There is talk of a new centrist party being launched in the UK, designed to attract the 41 per cent of Brits who feel that such a party is needed.

It's funny, because the politicians really don't have a clue abut what it really means. They seem to be under the impression that the British people really want a left-leaning pro-EU party. They're in for a shock!

Jack, Your summation saying that the people in London don’t know what is going on in the rest of Britain, reminds me of our Ottawa people and press saying (during a recession) that everything seems normal, many people spending in the stores. When your population consists of half Government employees, there is never a recession like the rest of the Country who creates the wealth.
Britain’s Conservative and Labor Parties are both Center Left, so a third Center Left Party wouldn’t last.
