Not too long ago, I asked you whether you thought Theresa May might be mad enough to call a snap general election. Well, now it looks like it really might be happening — but it probably won’t be Theresa May making the decision.
In fact, it’s probably going to be the result of a vote of no confidence, if Theresa May is unable to pass the EU withdrawal legislation. She has already had to appoint new peers to the House of Lords. If she keeps getting defeated in the Commons, then we might all be going to the polls again this autumn.
